The plan’s going right.’ And then they started to seem like there was some real beef there Carolyn was feeling towards Yam Yam,” he explained.
As Carolyn and Josh began whispering to each other, Sarah started to worry that she might be the one on the chopping block. “I thought in this moment where she was freaked out [by] Yam Yam, [that] if she was coming for me [that] she [had] changed it to him. I didn’t want to play scared and overplay the idol,” she said.
Despite her misgivings, Sarah Wade acknowledged that she may have made a mistake in not playing her idol. “I think it’s far better to play Survivor scared than it is to play not scared. That’s probably where I went wrong,” she said after getting voted out.

Sarah Wade’s Strategy for CBS Survivor
Survivor 44’s Sarah Wade is no stranger to navigating male-dominated spaces, and she’s bringing that experience to the game. In an interview with CBS, the 27-year-old consultant from Chicago revealed that her strategy centers around building trust with her fellow castaways.
“I think my strategy is really about winning over people’s trust,” Sarah explained. “That’s something I do in my work life as well, especially working in a male-dominated field. They might be very open-minded and cool about it. But they might also be more traditional and not accustomed to seeing a young gal at work with them.”
Sarah credits her experience in her profession for teaching her how to overcome these perceptions and earn people’s trust. “It’s taught me how to win over people’s trust in what I can bring to the table,” she said.
