‘Sister Wives’: Kody Wouldn’t Touch Christine
Sister Wives star Christine Brown describes how Kody Brown became a hands-off husband, causing her pain.
Sister Wives: Christine Brown Suddenly Invisible
In real-time it’s clear that Christine split with her shared husband of more than 25 years. But it looks like Sister Wives Season 16 offers a few details of what led up to the two parting ways.
The latest Sister Wives features a sullen Christine Brown. The third wife of Kody Brown not only looks estranged from Kody, but from the other co-wives as well.
The family is at Coyote Pass as the Brown adults discuss the building lots. While Kody and the other women talk, Christine gives the impression she feels out of place. Besides offering a few nods and what looks to be a forced but fleeting smile, she keeps to herself. Although when Robyn Brown asks her if she “hears the angels sing today,” Christine said, “not today.”
If you remember back to when they first looked at Coyote Pass for a possible future home, She was over-the-top excited. She claimed she heard the angels sing and knew it was home. But time changed this for this Sister Wives bride.
As the conversation continues, it is almost as if she’s invisible to Kody as well as the women she’s considered part of her Sister Wives family for decades. But, it’s important to keep in mind how editing can change a generic scene into something else, as Soap Dirt suggested several times in the past.
TLC’s Christine Misses Kody Brown’s Touch
Sister Wives enthusiasts know that Christine Brown lives in Utah today, leaving Kody and the rest of the family behind. But leading up to this, she offers details of her life with Kody Brown.
She gives one word to describe her marriage with Kody during the time this season was filmed. That word is “sad.” What the Sister Wives audience sees in this new season, took place months ago.

So, an unhappy Christine also divulges more about her relationship with the guy she shares. Next, she tells fans that she has “extremely limited physical contact, not even hand-holding” with the man she married.
To describe the severity of his hands-off behavior, she shares how she’s hurting today. While she doesn’t want to make a drastic decision on her future right now (at the time of filming) she’s pondering her options. Pushing forward to today, fans know what she decided to do.
Sister Wives: Kody Oblivious – One Track Mind
The Sister Wives adults discussing their future homes. But first, they need to put a name on each plot of land. Kody Brown refers to building lots in numbers.
While they all sit in a circle at Coyote Pass on portable chairs, they divvy up the land. But Christine remains conspicuously quiet.
The patriarch from Sister Wives seems oblivious to Christine Brown’s sadness. He just mows down all the chit-chat coming from Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Robyn Brown, to stick with the topic at hand.
He tells his wives this is an important process to get the ball rolling on homes going up. Then Robyn pipes up and says how she wants all of them to be able to visualize where they are going to live.
Meri takes a swipe at that with a joke. She shares how as of now, all she can visualize is the pond.
For the Brown family, everything has changed. Their story continues this Sunday, November 21 at 10/9c. pic.twitter.com/RSJyhbTurw

So, even as the five adults from Sister Wives disband as their time together comes to an end, Christine appears like a loner. She walks to her car alone and it doesn’t appear as if Kody Brown even notices her. Sister Wives Season 16 is just days away. The first episode airs Sunday, November 21, on TLC at 10 p.m. EST.
