‘Sister Wives’: Kody Used Scare Tactics as Punishment?

Sister Wives star Kody Brown has more behind-the-scenes tales surfacing today as many find this news a bit disturbing to hear about the father of the TLC series.

It seems his daughter, Gwendlyn Brown, talked about a couple of ways that her father reportedly punished her when she was a kid. She alleged that one way left her with bruises a few times. She also claims he used a scare tactic as another way of punishment.

Sister Wives: Kody Brown Behind the Scenes

When you watched Kody Brown on the screen last season, Gwen said that he acted more like the real-life Kody when cameras weren’t rolling.

According to his daughter, Kody screaming at his wives on screen was something you didn’t see in the earlier seasons. But apparently, it was like that at the Brown’s home with the cameras off.

So, fans watch Kody and Christine Brown’s daughter as she watches the episodes. But it is what she has to say that interests them.

So, while she watched the scene where Kody yells that her mom just put a knife in his kidney, the topic of becoming abusive came up.

That clip appears in the video below. After watching that scene, the 21-year-old daughter then offered up some forms of punishment practiced by the Sister Wives patriarch when she was younger.

A Controversial Spanking?

Parents spanking a child is very controversial today. Many think of it as a form of child abuse. Many believe that any form of punishment that entails striking a child even lightly could be considered abuse. Some think a light spanking never hurt any kid. But when a spanking leaves bruises, most would say that’s not good.

So, when Gwendlyn talked about her father spanking her for punishment, the viewers’ ears perked up. She also alleges that she was left with bruises from this. That reveal didn’t go over very well, as far as the online comments go.

But this wasn’t the only form of punishment that Kody’s daughter claimed to endure at the hands of her father. No, she also claims that he did something to scare her.

Sister Wives: Kody’s Daughter Takes Flight?

Kody Brown’s daughter said she walked away with bruises a few times after a spanking from her dad. But it also sounds like he used a scare tactic as well.  From what Gwen said, another form of punishment was Kody throwing her in the air.

So it sounds like this dad from Sister Wives allegedly used a scare tactic when she wasn’t behaving herself. What she revealed from behind the scenes had fans saying that this is just awful.

“Disgusting” was also a word thrown around by fans who watched Kody’s daughter describe being punished at the hands of her dad.

A few fans asked where Christine was when this was going on. She’s such a protective mom, who spends a great deal of time with her kids.

But another fan chirped in to remind fans that early on in the Sister Wives series, the wives seem to shut down when he got mad. But they’ve changed a lot since then.

Still, as he yelled this season on camera, the wives seem to coil back into themselves. No one confronted him on screen about his yelling. Although, Janelle Brown got up and walked away.

So, it looks like this week once again, Kody Brown’s daughter enlightened the viewers of the TLC series with what goes on when the cameras shut down.
