‘Sister Wives’: Kody & Robyn’s Secret Nanny Sparks Outrage
Sister Wives stars Kody Brown and Robyn Brown face outrage from fans after their secret on the TLC series came out. The clip for next week’s Sister Wives episode reveals that Robyn has a nanny to care for her kids. This nanny comes and goes from their house regularly. But coming in and out of their home doesn’t fit in with the strict rules Kody demands of his family. So, what’s up with this?
Sister Wives: Stage Set for Robyn Brown & Kody Brown
Kody demands COVID precautions for his family members. Since a few of the adult kids haven’t given up socializing, Kody Brown won’t spend time at any Sister Wives’ homes. That is, all except for Robyn’s house.
The Sister Wives patriarch admits that he spends his days during the pandemic with Robyn Brown and her kids. He insists this is the only safe home as Robyn and her brood follow strict guidelines as a precaution against this virus.

Many fans and some of the Sister Wives tribe members believe these rules come from Robyn Brown, not Kody Brown. This couple handed down rules that have no wiggle room. They also leave the other wives and Kody’s other kids without him.
TLC: Why Does Robyn Need a Nanny?
The previews have Christine Brown looking into the Sister Wives camera and asking – “What does the nanny do?” She, along with the audience, wants to know why Robyn needs a nanny.
Robyn Brown is the only Sister Wives mom who has Kody Brown full time. So, viewers want to know why he isn’t doing the tasks instead of a nanny? She has no babies at home. Their youngest, Ariella Brown, is five years old. Then there’s Solomon Brown, who is 10.

Plus, she has two teenage daughters, Aurora Brown, 19, and Breanna Brown, 16. Fans are asking why can’t these girls help out as well as her oldest, David Brown, who is 21? Three of her kids are at the age where they can watch themselves.
Sister Wives viewers are appalled as Christine Brown just went through Ysabel Brown’s surgery all alone without Kody. Then she nursed her back to health for weeks by herself and became exhausted. She did this with a very active 11-year-old underfoot as well, Truely Brown. But she did not have a nanny to help at her house.
Sister Wives: Kody Caught – Secret Revealed?
Christine’s anger is aimed at Kody in the next episode. She cries while telling her Sister Wives husband Ysabel wanted to come over and she can’t. It sounds as if this nanny was a secret up until this point. But the editing might make it sound this way.
As Soap Dirt has mentioned several times in the past, the editing for the Sister Wives previews is notorious for leading viewers in a direction for drama. Then when the actual scenes play out, they become something different than the previews would have you assume.
So, from what Christine says, Ysabel is devasted because the nanny is over all the time. In Christine’s eyes whoever this nanny is, she poses just as much danger to passing along COVID as Ysabel would. Or any other member of the Sister Wives clan for that matter.
After getting called out by his third wife, Kody promises to reevaluate how the family goes forward in all this. For the followers of the show, they assume this means he’ll go home and talk to Robyn Brown.
But this preview from Sister Wives indicates that when Kody Brown’s secret surfaces about Robyn employing a nanny this causes some hard feelings. The family members can’t visit Robyn’s place, but a nanny comes in and out of their home. So, their strict rules suddenly look selective in the eyes of viewers and some family members as well.
