‘Sister Wives’: Kody Brown Cleans Up After Fan Ruckus?
Sister Wives star Kody Brown started a bit of ruckus when he appeared online looking a little disheveled. Then, he went quiet for a while, which left TLC fans questioning what was going on with him. But he’s back, and it looks like there’s a good reason he wasn’t showing up for a while.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown MIA?
The last time Kody Brown showed up on social media, fans did a double take. It looked like he didn’t take the time to groom his hair like he used to do. But he popped up again recently, looking like he pulled himself together.
He and four women highlight the cast of Sister Wives. The kids breeze in and out, but mostly, it’s these five adults who headline the show. Despite divorcing Kody, Christine Brown will still be part of the new season.
From what the new season trailer suggests, it looks like her split with Kody could be this season’s primary storyline. So, in between the last season and the upcoming one, the Brown spouses still kept fan attention on social media. All except for Robyn Brown…
Kody didn’t do much on social as his first three Sister Wives did. But he makes fan-paid videos. As do Christine, Meri Brown, and Janelle Brown. All but Robyn engage in this profitable enterprise.
Kody Cleans Up His Act?
Kody Brown kept a steady stream of these videos going over the last several months. But when he stopped making them, fans speculated if it was because of sadness over Christine leaving him.
Some thought her departure took a toll. Then again, maybe not since he was still making them as she left. Still, Sister Wives followers know she left her shared husband, but they didn’t see the actual split. But viewers may get to see that in the new season.
They’ll likely hear all the harsh words and see the tears that usually accompany a split. Whatever happened, it looked like Kody Brown didn’t care how he looked on camera. As seen in the photos above, his usually coiffed hair was a mess.
Sister Wives: Did Papa Brown have a Reason for Quiet Spell?
The fans debated about the possible reasons Kody stopped making videos for weeks. But he returned recently with a single fan video. Before, he released batches of them at a time.
Could it be that he’s simply not getting as many paid requests from Sister Wives viewers? Maybe a video message from Kody Brown isn’t as popular as it once was. While the women make lengthier videos, he does not. His are usually quick and expensive.
Kody charges a whopping $99 a pop. At least with Meri, Janelle and Christine Brown, they deliver a message with some substance to it. They talk for a while and charge a lot less than Papa Brown.
Kody’s usual greeting consists of him saying happy birthday or happy anniversary. Then he calls the recipient out by name and tells them who requested the message. But it is over in a blink of an eye.
Kody winds it up by making hand signs for peace and love. Then the patriarch signs off. With inflation spiraling and everyone paying more for food and fuel, maybe the almost $100 price tag is just too steep of a splurge.
