Sister Wives star Janelle Brown expressed how thrilled she became when Christine Brown found happiness with a new life, but it looks like something happened after the TLC cameras shut down. Today, Janelle isn’t looking to walk in Christine’s shoes, despite seeing her bestie so happy. So, what happened to taint this picture for the second wife of this popular reality series?
Sister Wives: Christine Brown’s New Life Not Enticing to Janelle Brown
Janelle Brown seems a bit tainted against any type of marriage today, whether it be monogamous or polygamy. She’s not looking to ever walk in Christine Brown’s shoes. Something that Janelle witnessed between Christine and David Woolley sparked this train of thought.
For someone to be a bit tainted against marriage after something they witnessed, you might expect that they were privy to something awful. But it seems this Sister Wives celeb saw her ex-co-wife in a scene that was just the opposite.
Christine Brown told David before they were married that Janelle Brown, as well as her kids, were part of the deal. Both women reported that he was not only fine with that, but he continues to treat Janelle like family today. So, from where Janelle sits, her best friend has one good guy.
If anyone should know, it’s Janelle, the woman who jokingly calls herself the third wheel in that marriage. But while this Sister Wives star might dub herself wheel # 3, that’s not at all how she’s made to feel by this couple.
Christine & Janelle Walked Away As Independent Women
These two ladies were married to the same man for a long time. They were part of Kody Brown’s Sister Wives clan for just shy of three decades. So, they spent a lot of time as the head of their own households.
They became more independent in the last few years. They spent very little time with Kody after he pretty much moved in with Robyn Brown.
The decisions, as well as much of the daily tasks, fell to these ladies as their shared husband serviced mostly one wife out of the four. So, Janelle grew independent long before she left Kody for good. The same happened to Christine, she became independent out of necessity as well.
Both women experienced that same shift as Kody became more and more absent from their daily lives. But it left the two women having opposite outlooks on their futures, and Janelle points this out.
So, what did Janelle Brown experience that left her not wanting what Christine Brown has today? Well, from what this Sister Wives celebrity says about her BFF, it hit her during a camping trip with the newly married couple.
Sister Wives: Opposite Outcomes After Kody Brown
Janelle Brown joined Christine Brown and David Woolley on a camping trip. Much to Janelle’s surprise, David was extremely helpful, so much so that she commented to her ex-co-wife how he does just about everything. This is not what these two Sister Wives ladies are used to.
As Janelle Brown watched these two navigate the tasks of camping, it hit her that she didn’t need this. While Christine longed to be part of a team with a romantic partner, she, instead, longed for her independence.
So, Christine walked away from Kody looking for a man of her own to love and who would love her and no one else. But her best friend walked away wanting to make her own decisions and build a life her way, on her own.

This hit Janelle as she watched Christine become part of a team with David. This is when she realized that Christine Brown not only wanted this, she needed this way of life. But this way of life did not float her ex-co-wife’s boat. She didn’t want what Christine had. So, she turned to her best friend with this revelation of hers.
Janelle Reveals She Doesn’t Want What Christine Has
She told the Sister Wives’ bride, “I don’t need another person. You do, this is for you, but this is not for me. It’s not what I want.” So, it looks like Janelle needed to see the newlywed couple in action to give her a nudge on where she’s headed in the future.
Still, while she seemed pretty definite about finding her own new direction as an independent woman, she offered a disclaimer. While she feels this way today about not needing a man, Janelle Brown won’t completely rule out finding someone someday.
She said there’s always a chance she could change her mind one day. So, Sister Wives fans can keep an eye on this progress, or lack of, as the TLC series has Season 19 in the works.
