So, what is Hantavirus? The Centers for Disease Control website states Hantaviruses can be very serious. The Hantavirus is a family of viruses spread mainly by rodents and can cause various disease syndromes.

Humans most commonly contract the virus through urine, feces, and saliva, less frequently from a rodent bite. Symptoms include fatigue, fever, muscle aches, dizziness, chills, and abdominal issues.

HPS has a 38 percent fatality rate. The CDC site states no specific treatments, cures, or vaccines for HPS. Bites from infected rodents are the main source of the disease in humans.

Rinna Laughs Off Past Rat Incidents in Her Home
