This sounds like a perfect setup for the old Thomas of Bold and the Beautiful days gone by. He wants Paris Buckingham but she’s in a serious relationship with his cousin Zende Forrester.
Bad-behaving Thomas would figure out a way to get to Paris all to himself. He might conjure up a fake house-buying saga and once he gets her in as the new renter, he could craft a ploy for both of them to stay on Bold and the Beautiful.

On Bold and the Beautiful, Thomas might suggest that the two of them share the place until he finds another house. This way she won’t have to move again. But he never got that chance. She moved in just before the update about his house. But it was her idea to share his two-bedroom apartment.

The first chance she gets, viewers must assume she’ll rifle Thomas Forrester’s drawers and closets. She may discover something concerning from his real estate agent. Maybe he hid a letter saying the house sale fell through but it’s dated days before she saw his pad on Bold and the Beautiful.
Or maybe while she’s living there she goes through his mail. It’s possible in an upcoming episode, Paris uncovers a letter he’s hidden that she finds disturbing. Something to indicate Thomas wasn’t on the up and up with her about the house sale, hint Bold and the Beautiful spoilers.
If he gets a letter from the real estate company, she’s bound to read it. The letter may explain that he won’t get his deposit on the house back because he was the one to call off the sale.
