My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Whitney Thore Tests Out French Skills
Whitney Thore decided to learn a new language a couple of years ago. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life reality star thought learning French would be a good idea.
Little did she know, she would learn more than just a new language. She met her French lover on the language exchange app. And since then, she has been visiting French every so often.

However, despite spending numerous hours learning the language, Whitney is not fluent in French. Yet, she doesn’t blame the app for her not speaking the language fluently. The hardest part of learning French for the TLC star is pronunciation. So, that is something she has been working on.
Whitney Thore has been putting her French knowledge to the test. During one of her trips to France, the My Big Fat Fabulous Life decided to speak the language to the best of her ability. Yet, it didn’t turn out the way she thought it would.
Whitney Accidently Says She’s Pregnant
Whitney Thore’s lack of French-speaking skills got her into an awkward situation. The last time she was in France, she was at a “beautiful cafe” sitting outside.
She had a “little lunch date.” She was feeling “super confident” in her French language skills. She felt she knows a lot when talking about food. So, she thought she would speak French throughout the date.
Whitney had a lovely meal. Her date asked her if her meal was good in French. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast member “very confidently” said, “oui,” which means “yes.”
She then patted her stomach and said, “je suis plein.” She thought she was saying, “I am full.” But it seems like she used the wrong word to describe how she was feeling.
She explained that she found out that it also means, “I’m pregnant.” She added that it is only used when referring to a pregnant animal.
Whitney found it “super embarrassing.” So, she hopes to learn more French. She wants to stop embarrassing herself in French and English. She doesn’t want to have another mishap and misuse a word again.

Whitney Thore may not be pregnant. But, she has been open about her desire to be a mother. She suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome.
The condition can cause fertility issues. So, it’s not easy for the TLC celeb to get pregnant. Yet, she has thought about her options if she were to have a child one day. However, she seems to have put her baby-making plans on hold.
Whitney doesn’t share much about her relationship with the French man. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life celeb wants to keep it out of the public eye. But could she be practicing how to announce she’s pregnant in French if the day ever happens?
