Married at First Sight wife Clara Fergus is a sweetheart on the show, but some people don’t care and dislike her recent actions. In fact, some people are calling her a beggar because of some of the things she said.

Married at First Sight: Clara Fergus Not Willing to Pay Up?

Clara Fergus, wife to Ryan Oubre, turned heads recently – and not for good reasons. She shared that Ryan makes a lot more money than her, so she has to be on a tight budget. Even so, she and Ryan want to have a second wedding on New Year’s Eve.

Married at First Sight celeb Clara wants to properly marry her husband without a blindfold. She went on to say that she really wants their special day to be more like a big party to bring in the new year. Viewers thought that was cool until she started hinting that she wants freebies.

Clara Oubre from Married at First Sight asked all wedding vendors to contact her to “partner” with her. Fans immediately started ripping her apart, saying she was trolling for freebies and discounts. Even so, Clara didn’t say specifically what she wanted from the vendors as far as freebies or discounts.

MAFS: Clara Receives Unnecessary Hate?

Married at First Sight star Clara Fergus said the people on the show are normal people and that others should stop being so mean to them. It was easy to see she had a lot of hurt in her eyes, and even her husband chimed in on the issue. Ryan said he expected too much when he thought he could sneak through the process without coming under fire.

MAFS fans bashed Clara for saying she was trying to keep costs down while planning for New Year’s Eve. They also noted that her guest list of 150 didn’t really line up with her “budget” statements either. Many people asked why they couldn’t just pay the small businesses instead of begging for discounts.

Married at First Sight fans on social media said Lifetime would “make a one-off special,” and others said, “MAFS should pay for it if they’re filming it.” Some viewers even defended Clara saying, “There is nowhere that she said she didn’t want to pay the vendors.”

Whatever her motives, many reality celebrities use their fame to help small start-up companies get publicity.  A small vendor partnering with even moderate stars can get photos that can be used for media and publicity materials for years to come. That is why many companies actively seek out people like Clara to partner with. She is simply letting these companies know that she is available for a win-win scenario.

Married at First Sight: Happy to Share Their Life – But Not Too Much

Fans of Married at First Sight said they get a lot of mixed signals from Clara Oubre and her man. In one breath, they say they want to keep their private life private. But in another breath, they are putting their business out there and asking for vendors to help them out.
