‘Married at First Sight’: Bennett Kirschner Reveals He’s Co-Parenting
Married at First Sight fan fave Bennett Kirschner‘s moving on after his split from Amelia Fatsi. Now divorced, he just announced a bizarre co-parenting situation with his male roommate. Let’s see what he’s been up to.
Bennett Kirschner Divorced from Married at First Sight Wife
Season 11 of MAFS introduced the mutually quirky Amelia Fatsi to Bennett Kirschner. She was fresh out of medical school and starting her residency. He was active in the New Orleans theater scene and looking for a wife.
They seemed a match as Lifetime Instagram showed in a promo for the season. They meshed so well in the season that aired in Summer 2020 that he got a tattoo of her initials.
Then, Bennett relocated to Virginia for her career. But he was open to that from the start, having agreed to be a stay-at-home dad to their future children.
In fact, it looked like Amelia wasn’t really in it looking for a husband. She later admitted she thought it would be fun to be a reality show to fill her time before her residency. It’s too bad he was looking for a soul mate on Married at First Sight and she was not.
According to a leak last year, Amelia dumped Bennett “out of the blue”, surprising him. Since she wasn’t in it for the right reasons, that makes sense. After that, he filed for divorce, and it was finalized in November 2021.
Back in New Orleans — New Roommate Peter Pinelli Sparks Questions
Since the split, Bennett Kirschner returned back to the city he loves — New Orleans. And he’s back in the theater scene. He even wrote a strange play about marriage. That debuted in NOLA within a few days of their divorce decree. For sure, it was a Married at First Sight fail for the couple.
But now, it looks like Bennett has someone new in his life. His name is Peter Pinell, and he’s also in the NOLA theatrical scene. They seem to be roommates. However, some fans wonder if they’re more than friends.
Someone asked, “is Pete your Amelia now?”. Then, they commented that they are “not here to judge”. And they encouraged him to “live in your truth”. That comment drew many likes but no reply from Bennett. See above.
Another flat-out asked if Pete was Bennett’s boyfriend, but that also got no answer from the Married at First Sight ex-husband. But a look at Pete’s post on the dog (see below) prompted even more suspicions.
Married at First Sight Ex-Hubby Bennett’s Co-Parenting with Pete
Peter announced he’s a proud new “co-parent” with Bennett Kirschner. That’s because they found and adopted a dog together. Bennett Kirschner said he and Pete found the pup with no tags, chip, and no owner looking for her.
And the dog was “limping”. Pete said her ACL was torn. Bennett said they decided to keep her as “their own”. They named her Peanut. A mash-up of both their names perhaps? Bennett used the word “we” heavily in his post.
On Pete’s post about the doggo, he also used “we” and called them co-parents. Then, he talked about a “new chapter”. And he said their first step was a dog. And the second step was “A HOUSE”. Sounds like they’re sticking together, even though it’s not like his experience on Married at First Sight.
One thing’s for certain. Bennett Kirschner looks happy with Pete and their new dog, Peanut. There have been no social media clues about a new lady in his life. Now, it looks like he’s making a home with Pete Pinelli and their new dog.
