‘Love is Blind’: Jarrette Macks on Mallory — LIB2 Season 2 Episode 4 Recap

Love is Blind finally introduces Jarrette Jones to Mallory Zapata — the one that got away — on Season 2 Episode 4. Meet the Other Couples brings more action in Mexico. And the meet-ups provoke drama on the Netflix matchmaking show. Read the recap.

Mallory & Salvador Lukewarm — Jarrette Jones Thrills Iyanaa McNeely on LIB2

On LIB2, we start with Mallory Zapata drinking champagne with Salvador Perez. She was a little worried about the lack of physical vibes. Now, Mallory says she was in her head and tells him she’s attracted. Mallory says she’s awkward and he says he gets that.

Cam talking, Sal says he noticed their first kiss was off. He tells Mallory Zapata that it’s a safe space with him. She says he’s so handsome. They laugh together and there seem to be some warmer feelings growing.

Iyanna McNelly and Jarrette Jones lie in bed talking. She says Jarrette being so tall freaked her out at first. He’s 11 inches taller than her. She cam-talks and says she usually doesn’t date that tall. He gets out of bed and says he got her something.

Then, he hands over a Polaroid camera and she loses her sh*t. Netflix Twitter echoed the sentiment. On Love is Blind 2, she keeps on shrieking. He tells her the first pack of film is for raunchy photos.

And Iyanna says she’s there for that. She starts snapping pics. Later, they get into the hot tub. They make out and hug. She says she wants to wait until they’re married to have full-on sex. But she says she’s attracted to Jarrette.

Shake Chatterjee Backpedals Furiously with Deepti on Love is Blind Season 2 Episode 4

Deepti Vempati says being here with him is a bonding experience. She’s nervous about being in a bikini in front of Shake Chatterjee. She comes out and he says “yes, yes”. They get into the hot tub and make out. They’re getting very physical.

He asks if she wants to hump. Then, Shake tells her she’s tiny. And she says their babies will be cute and smart. Deeps says they should say f*k it and just get married now. Later, cam talking, he says he’s apprehensive and he’s not sure of their physical connection.

Shake’s freaking a little that Deepti is repeating back what he said to her when he proposed. The stuff about marriage and babies. And he’s really not feeling it. He gets this far-away look when she’s hanging onto him and can’t see his face.

Shayne Jensen and Natalie Lee are in bed talking about who gets what side. He eats in bed and falls asleep with the TV on. She isn’t into that. Danielle Ruhl talks about being uncomfortable getting naked in front of men.

But she says she’s comfortable with Nick Thompson. He says he’s the luckiest guy in the world. As for Kyle Abrams, he’s in Mexico all alone. He says Shaina Hurley decided to leave Mexico on Love is Blind 2.

Then, he says he needs to work on communication with her. He thinks he’s going to grow on her and she’ll fall madly in love with her. This echoes Mark and Jessica so much from last season. Poor guy.

Danielle Ruhl Vomits — Shake Tries to Avoid Nookie

Jarrette Jones complains that Iyanna’s taking up almost all of the bed. He jokes it’s a bad first-night impression. Later, he says he watched her while she was sleeping. Then, she says this is what she wanted. They seem very content.

Later, Nick offers to sing for Danielle Ruhl. She’s not feeling well. She was throwing up and says she can’t even drink water. Nick jokes if she could be pregnant already. Later, Nick talks and it sounds like they banged (in three different places).

Danielle’s happy that he’s being patient while she’s sick and not upset that she’s messing up the vacation. Nick Thompson jokes he hasn’t run for the hills yet on Love is Blind.

Deepti Vampati tells Shake he was making puppy noises all night. She says it’s crazy they’re engaged. She cam talks and says they kept it PG last night. Then, she asks him if it’s weird waking up next to her. Shake Chatterjee says he’ll get used to it.

And he says there’s no need to rush it. Cam talking, he says her personality is 11 out of 10. But physically, he says he doesn’t know. Then, he says things are purely emotional. He says he doesn’t feel that animalistic attraction. Now, Shake says he has to figure it out.

Shayne Jansen Finds Natalie Lee’s Alarms Alarming — Love is Blind Recap

Natalie and Shayne Jensen wake up and they talk about the alarms. He complains about three alarms and she says it’s like that every day. Then, Shayne fusses that she kept hitting snooze. He kisses her and she says eww. Then she tells him he’s hot.

Later, Natalie Lee cam talks and says they had “fun” the night before. In the bathroom, he says they could have knocked boots a little longer. He says he didn’t expect that and calls her sassy.

Mallory Zapata wakes in Salvador’s arms. They’re spooning and she giggles. Sal says he had fun and Mallory says last night was fun. She says she doesn’t kiss and tell but… She implies she needs to get a plan B — saying she needs to hit a pharmacy to be on the safe side.

Salvador says she snores and she smacks him on Love is Blind. Then, Mallory Zapata admits she does occasionally. He asks what she wants to do. They make out some more.

Shayne Barfs on a Boat — Jarrette Gets Sensual — LIB2 Recap

Jarrette gives Iyanna a full body massage. He says he respects her wanting to wait until marriage. Then, Jarrette Jones says there’s other ways to be intimate. Iyanna says the massage got her hot. She says he’s hard to resist.

Then, she giggles and says she saw it all when he dropped trou for the massage. We see his huge stabbing scar on his abdomen. He drops his towel again when they step into an outdoor shower.

Now, Natalie heads out with Shayne in Mexico. They are going sailing. She’s been sailing before but he’s not. She straps a life jacket on him and he dances around. He’s glad they’re doing something unique. Then he says it’s a Titanic moment ahead.

They have a captain sailing them. They stop out in the ocean and dive and swim around jumping off the catamaran. Later, they’re alone. Out on the water, Shayne got seasick and he says she was sweet to him on Love is Blind.

He says he got to see how she’d take care of him. And he lifts her off the boat when they’re onshore. He says he’ll never sail again and jokes she popped his sailing cherry. Next, he says he’s so happy and loves her so much more because she’s beautiful too.

She says even if he didn’t look like he does, she’d still like him. He asks if she’s pretty. She says are you fishing for compliments. He tells her she jokes a lot and it gets old. She didn’t like that.

Dinner with the Couples — Jarrette Meets Mallory — Uh Oh…

The couples meet for dinner and the men and women get to meet the other people for the first time. Then, Shake Chatterjee says everyone is so attractive. Iyanna McNeely says she has a girl crush on Mallory Zapata and she doesn’t know if Jarrette saw her yet.

Nick shows up alone and says they broke up. Everyone’s stunned. He says he’s kidding but Danielle Ruhl has a stomach bug. We see her lying on the floor of the bathroom eating bread. The Lacheys welcome them and congratulate their engagements.

Then, Vanessa says they’ll get to meet the other people they dated but didn’t pick on Love is Blind 2. Nick asks if love is truly blind and if they marry or walk away from each other. Then the Lacheys leave (because they’re barely on the show)…

The girls talk together about what the guys look like. Natalie and Shayne wonder what happened with Kyle Abrams and Shaina. See the last recap on their split. Some of the guys call for shots. And they drink to Shaina. They make up some smush names.

Deepti says Sal is exactly what she expected. Shake hugs Mallory and says they didn’t talk a lot. Iyanna likes seeing Shayne with Natalie. Nick says he can see Natalie and Shayne getting married but not sure about them going long term.

Everyone Talks About Bedroom Action on Love is Blind

Deepti chats with Sal about connections. Shake tells Natalie she has great teeth and asks if she has great teeth. Then, he says she looks like a girl he kicked out of a club when he was a DJ. He keeps flirting and checking out her teeth.

The five guys chat and talk about how it was once they got there. Nick says Danielle bit his lip so hard it bled. The ladies start talking about bedroom stuff too. Natalie goes to attack Shayne when he starts telling an awkward story about them on the boat.

Jarrette says he thinks those two will make it. Natalie tells Iyanna that she looks happy with Jarrette. Deepti tells the girls that they haven’t been physical. Then, Shake confides in Jarrette that he’s not attracted to her on Love is Blind 2 recap.

Jarrette tells him that everyone loves Deepti and doesn’t get it. Then, Shake repeats it to Shayne. And he tells him to keep an open mind. Jarrette and Nick talk about how beautiful Mallory is. He says Danielle won’t be mad if he says it. But she blows up later.

Love is Blind Recap — Jarrette Flirts up Mallory — Sal and Iyanna Take Note

Jarrette says he knew she’d be gorgeous. Then, Nick tells Jarrette he’s beautiful. Jarrette says he and Mal are avoiding each other and it’s weird. Nick says he wants the best for Iyanna and Jarrette. He says the second choice proposal is weird.

Nick asks Jarrette Jones if he would have proposed to Mal and he says leave me alone. So, he goes to talk to Mallory Zapata. They have an intense talk and she says she’d never cried so hard in her life.

She is nice to him but she’s still drawing a line in the sand. Meanwhile, Iyanna talks to some others. Mallory says she feels awkward and Jarrette Jones says he never got that vibe. He asks if she’ll go through with it and marry Salvador.

She pauses on LIB2. Then, she admits Sal is someone she’d never go for outside of this. She talks about being a guy’s girl and liking sports. Sal notices Mallory talking to Jarrette Jones. She asks if he and Salvador talked.

Nick says he thinks Sal and Mallory Zapata aren’t that close. Now, we see Iyanna looking annoyed. Salvador’s getting teary and says he knows Mal’s not interested in him and wants to go home. Jarrette’s flirting up a storm. And that’s the end of season 2 episode 4.
