‘Love During Lockup’: Emily & Duari’s Red Flags Fly
Love During Lockup Season 2 couple Emily and Dauri are relationship chaos at its finest. This new couple has fans scratching their heads. Viewers are not sure which of the pair is the shadiest. Just one episode in, and it is safe to say neither is giving off trusting vibes.
Love During Lockup: Dauri and Emily Two Peas in A Pod?
Love During Lockup couple Dauri and Emily are quite the pair. The New Jersey couple has issues, and trust is a major problem. It is not the greatest relationship start when one-half of the couple is incarcerated. It is even worse when the inmate finds a way to cheat on his partner while locked up.
Emily and Dauri first met after Emily began searching inmate pen pal ads. She picked Dauri out of several prison inmates looking for friends and love. Emily says the first thing to catch her eye is his good looks.
She immediately begins writing and sending him numerous letters. Dauri says at first, he felt as if he might be getting catfished. However, he quickly falls for Emily with a bit of time, and the two are now engaged.
However, their relationship is troubled. Emily says that she has caught her Love During Lockup fiancé cheating on her. She says he was having an emotional affair with another woman through written letters.
Love During Lockup: Emily & Dauri Have One Thing in Common
When Love During Lockup‘s Emily nailed Dauri for being unfaithful, he quickly made excuses. He tells his fiancé that he only corresponded with this other woman for money. He says he pretended to be this woman’s boyfriend to get her to send him cash.

At first, she was not too happy about Dauri’s betrayal. But, after she thought it through, she decided she could find a way to get over it.
So, the Love During Lockup couple stayed together, but only after he signed over his power of attorney to her, and she became entirely in charge of his finances.
Once she has control of the money, she figures that she is entitled to a little something nice for herself. After all, she did bust the Love During Lockup inmate cheating on her. So, she figures out a way to use Dauri’s stimulus check to upgrade her engagement ring.
Emily is a smart woman. She is a grad student who happens to be pursuing a career as a defense attorney. So not only is she smart, she is convincing him that she is in a position to help him legally.
However, that time may not arrive until he is released from prison. He has been behind bars for six years for first-degree armed robbery and charges involving carjacking.

Fans say the Love During Lockup couple are both being shady. But which one of them is using the other? She sees dollar signs in the relationship. At least for the time being. She will overlook his betrayal if she controls the cash.
He is looking for someone to help get him out of prison. He believes her when she says she will be able to help him. Dauri also sees a partner working towards a law degree. He knows this could mean big bucks and a cozy lifestyle once he gets released.
