The two began their relationship while they both were on the inside. But, as viewers will learn, the drama has been ongoing between the pair. For example, when he was in jail, Skylar found herself in some drama while in a halfway house, which sent her back to prison.
The Love After Lockup star was released ahead of his inmate girlfriend. Since then, he has been living with his grandma. But now she is getting out. He is ready to make significant life changes. But a few roadblocks are getting in the way.

During the Love After Lockup preview trailer for Season 7, Nathan gets into a verbal confrontation with an older woman. He is upset and tells her he wants her to support him in his relationship.
She is angry and tells him she should have never supported him to begin with. This leads viewers to believe this could be his grandma.
The older lady in the trailer later talks with WEtv cameras. She shares some startling information about Nathan’s inmate girlfriend. She is unhappy with his choice of women. But there is more to it. She states she is very concerned about their relationship.
But her main concern is for Nathan’s safety. She states the biggest problem is with Skylar because her last two boyfriends are dead. She says she doesn’t want him to be the third.
Love After Lockup: Nathan Grows Suspicious of Skylar’s Activities
The promo trailer for Love After Lockup shows Nathan may have a serious trust issue. During the clip, they engage in a heated conversation. So naturally, Nathan wants to have a special moment with her. But Skylar can’t seem to put her phone down long enough for him to get her attention.

He sees her on her phone with another guy and loses his temper. But she turns the tables on him. She tells him to stop the accusations because he is only embarrassing himself.
But Nathan doesn’t care, his rage is building, and he warns her that he is about to “spaz the f*** out.” The Love After Lockup couple has a long road ahead if they plan on making this relationship work.
