Little People, Big World: Amy Roloff & Chris Marek Will Not Wed This Year

Little People, Big World couple Amy Roloff and Chris Marek decided that their wedding will have to wait another year. Fear, not LPBW fans, the couple is still very much in love and still intends to spend the rest of their lives together. However, practicality has taken over the pair. So, they’re now planning to exchange vows in 2021 instead of this year.

The Little People, Big World alum’s news blindsided her close friend Lisa Dixon who first learned the news right before Christmas on a Facebook Live the two were hosting. Lisa even commented that she thought they had a date already picked out. However, Amy replied the date would no longer work.  It was a bombshell moment. But Amy assured  Lisa, her fans and followers that her reasons for the delay are of the practical nature. Amy Roloff doesn’t make rash decisions. So, of course, there’s a valid reason she and Chris decided this isn’t their year to get married.

LPBW: Amy Roloff Needs To Build Her Bank Account

Like many Little People Big World fans, Amy Roloff overspent this past holiday season. Additionally, she had a new granddaughter to spoil. But what really put a drain on her wallet was her new house. Although she spent less than what she cleared from the sale of her farm property to ex-husband Matt Roloff, the repairs and modifications she needed to make to the new place quickly emptied her bank account. So coupled with her impulsive spending on gifts and the expensive of home ownership, Amy decided it wasn’t the best financial move to spend more money this year on a lavish wedding.

TLC Star And Chris Marek Are Smart With Money

However, make no mistake, the Little People, Big World matriarch, Amy Roloff, is far from broke. It’s just that money is flying out the door. So, it is prudent she rebuilds her resources and waits a few more months to have the wedding she wants. But true to Amy’s sense of humor, fans have to realize she is exaggerating about being broke. She is doing perfectly well with all her business ventures.

Amy and Chris are just putting aside this major expense out of an abundance of caution. Still, 2020, will be a memorable year for Amy, in just days she will become a grandmother for the fourth time when her son Jeremy Roloff and his wife Audrey Roloff welcome their second child.
