Amy Roloff has been cooking up a storm in her kitchen. The Little People, Big World cast member’s latest dish was a tribute to her childhood. She took a trip down memory lane and spoke about her life in Michigan as a child. Amy said that she grew up having a lot of comfort food. Her mother did a lot of the cooking. However, she learned how to cook for her family at 14. She said that when her mom went back to work, she took over in the kitchen.

According to Amy Roloff from Little People, Big World, TV dinners were very popular for her family. She said that they were quick, easy to make and comforting. Amy’s family usually ate them whenever her mother had to work late. However, she said that some of the frozen dinners she had were good. But, not all of them were.

One of the frozen dinners Amy Roloff would have was a Salisbury steak. The Little People, Big World castmate said that it reminds her of her home back in Michigan. So, Amy decided to relive her childhood and “recreate those good feelings.” However, she also added gravy, beans and garlic mashed potatoes as a side dish.

The Little People, Big World reality star was happy to be reliving a childhood memory by recreating a meal she ate a lot as a kid. Amy Roloff said that she loves the mid-west, cooking and eating comfort food, and this meal has all three. She even gave fans a step-by-step tutorial on how to cook her favorite TV supper. However, Amy said that she wanted to make it a slightly healthier version of it.

After completing the cooking process, Amy Roloff couldn’t wait to take a step back in time and try out the dish. She said that the final product looked and smelled delicious. She called her version of the meal the “hungry man Salisbury steak.” However, Amy then thought since the dish wasn’t that big, the “little Salisbury steak” might be a better name for it.

The Little People, Big World TLC star made the food for herself and her fiancé, Chris Marek. However, Amy Roloff didn’t know if Chris would like it. Chris has said that he loves her cooking. So, there’s a good chance he enjoyed every bite.

Amy Roloff has been revealing some of her secrets in the kitchen. Not long ago, she spoke about what she does with leftover ham. Amy may know a lot of different recipes. But, she is always open to taking suggestions from others.
