Is ‘Young and the Restless’ Preempted for Thanksgiving? Y&R Weekly Schedule [UPDATED]

Is The Young and the Restless preempted on Thanksgiving? With a holiday week ahead, it means there are usually preemptions. Here’s the latest update for the Y&R schedule this week on CBS daytime.

Is The Young and the Restless Preempted on Thanksgiving?

By the end of the week, you’ll have three new US episodes of Y&R on your DVR. It’s a short week on the CBS soap opera. And don’t look for a new episode on Thanksgiving day — or a rerun for that matter.

On Turkey Day, it’ll be football instead of soaps on CBS daytime. Instead, we’ll see Thanksgiving events on The Young and the Restless on Wednesday and likely carrying into next week.

As Turkey Day rolls around, it’ll be Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) dining with the Abbotts but Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) won’t like it one bit. Check your DVR scheduled recordings to ensure the preemptions don’t mess up your tapings for the following week.

What Happens This Week on Y&R – Spoilers for November 21-25, 2022

This week on Young and the Restless there is a lot of action before preemptions kick in. As Monday starts, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) asks Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to marry him. Plus, Michael Graziadei starts his arc as Daniel Romalotti returns.

Plus, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) bails on Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). On Tuesday, an irate Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) snaps when he finds out his brother proposed to the woman he’s dating and bedding. Also, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) struggles.

And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is there for her even though neither Adam nor Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) approved. On Wednesday, it’s Thanksgiving in Genoa City on The Young and the Restless. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) plays dirty.

But it won’t keep Diane away from the table. And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) cheers at spending time with her son. But it’s a tense week as the Newman brothers battle over the redhead. Wednesday is the last Y&R episode of the week.

How Many Young and the Restless Episodes are New This Week?

This week on Y&R, there are just three new episodes airing in the US. Thursday, instead of the CBS soap opera, there’s NFL football. And then on Friday, instead of Young and the Restless, there is college football.

So, get ready for a short but intense week of the CBS soap opera. Then the following week, there’s even more action with five brand-new episodes after Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping are out of the way. And see what Sally says to Adam’s impromptu proposal.
