Is Sasha pregnant on GH is trending right now thanks to some recent scenes with actress Sofia Mattsson on General Hospital. So, is Mattsson expecting a baby? Here’s what we know.
Is Sasha Gilmore Pregnant on GH?
After the latest episode, everyone’s asking is Sasha Gilmore on GH pregnant. In the latest episode, the soap’s wardrobe department chose a loose flowy, belly-concealing outfit for actress Sofia Mattsson.
And that has everyone wondering if her character’s going to have a baby. One thing to consider is that there’s no way that Sasha is expecting a baby — at least based on what we’ve seen on General Hospital. She has no current love interest.
And her beloved husband, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) has been dead since September 2022. And if she were pregnant, surely the ABC soap would have brought that up as a plot point by now, right?
So, we’d say that there’s no way that Sasha Gilmore is pregnant. But that doesn’t mean that the actress is not. However, Mattsson is notoriously private about her personal life…
Sofia Mattsson’s Last Pregnancy Part of General Hospital Plotline
You may remember that when Sofia Mattsson was pregnant with her first child two years ago, General Hospital wrote it into Sasha’s story. She got pregnant after a one-night stand with Brando and then they fast-paced the on-screen pregnancy.
They did that to match the big baby bump Mattsson had in real-life. But the birth of her GH baby didn’t align with her IRL labor and delivery. The actress gave birth to her son with her husband Thomas Payton on July 26, 2021.
But Sofia only confirmed her pregnancy two months prior to her delivery date. So, if she is pregnant, keeping that news on the down-low is typical of how she chooses to keep details of her personal life private.
You may recall that her lookalike sister, Helena Mattsson subbed in as Sasha during her maternity leave from General Hospital. And then when she returned, she wore a fake belly for the remainder of her character’s pregnancy.
The timing didn’t work out for her to use her IRL bump for the duration of her character’s pregnancy. Tragically, Sasha and Brando lost their son right after his birth.
Look above to see a couple of recent shots of the actress and see if you think she’s hiding a bump. While Sasha pregnant on GH doesn’t make a lot of sense, Mattsson expanding her family now that her firstborn son is almost two would be happy news.
Wait and see and of course, Mattsson looks gorgeous as always. And if she is expecting baby #2 with her husband but is keeping it quiet like last time, that’s understandable!
