Phyllis Summers considers a job in Milan so fans wonder if Red’s leaving Young and the Restless and what Jack Abbott thinks of this. Now, she told him that she’s got a plum job offer waiting in Italy. But, he rushes to reassure her that there are people who want her in Genoa City. So, will she go?
Is Phyllis Summers Leaving Y&R – Is Michelle Stafford Out?
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has been moping around GC for weeks. She had a less than Merry Christmas. And a not-so-nice New Year. She’s feeling along and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) not been around.
The CBS soap was heating up a plot for Phyllis to get back with Jack, but the actor had an issue. Bergman suffered a detached retina requiring surgery. That took him abruptly off the scene and tanked the storyline.
So, that left Stafford’s character at loose ends. Now, Bergman’s back as the official Y&R Twitter confirmed.. So, what does Jack’s return mean for Phyllis? She’s tired of running into Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) around town.
And she can barely stand seeing other Young and the Restless couples looking happy. But is it too late for Jack to talk her out of leaving? Phyllis Summers already packed her bags. So, yes she is leaving. But will she be back? And is Jack Abbott waiting?
Love Lorn and Lonely on Young and the Restless – Will Phyllis Return to Genoa City?
Despite a low-key and happy fling with Nick, they couldn’t make it work. The arguments seemed pretty contrived and then they were done. Now, Nick’s single too and hasn’t started seeing anyone. But he noted she seemed hung up on her ex, Jack.
Now, the only woman he’s around is Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) but they’re not sparking (yet). Still, it sure looks like he and Phyllis are over and done. Young and the Restless spoilers seem to point to another path for Phyllis.

She’s promised Summer Newman (Hunter King) that she’ll come to Italy, But with Jack back home, she’ll have her mind on him. We expect her not to stay gone too long. And then, it’s back to GC — and the silver fox Abbott patriarch. Will Jack be there with open arms?
And she needn’t worry about leaving Jack behind. He’s got no other love interests simmering. So, it seems likely that he’ll be home, anxiously awaiting her return. And when Phyllis does return, will they have a heated reunion?
Michelle Stafford Staying at Y&R
There are no signs that Michelle Stafford’s leaving Young and the Restless. She’s still on contract as Phyllis. And although the CBS sudser sometimes breaks contracts, that seems unlikely in her case.
They are, however, rearranging couples which is standard for soaps. With Jack Abbott back and taking a noticeable interest in Red, it seems the time’s ripe for a reunion. The big question is how slow will Y&R go?
When Phyllis Summers is back from Milan, will she run right into his arms? Will they get passionate right away? Or are these exes too gunshy to jump into romance headfirst? Will they hold back or fall hard? How would you like to see it go once Phyllis returns?
