The reality star feels that when it comes to her parents, they are not up for anything that allows her to stand on her own.
Instead, she feels they want to keep her close, not for her, but for them. So, at dinner, Shauna brings up the subject. She tells her family she wants to accomplish this in six months.

She says no because she knows first, she needs to get a job. The conversation quickly becomes emotional for her.

So, she decides before finding an apartment, it would be a good idea to find a job first. Now, she needs to find the perfect job for her. Since she loves animals, she goes on an interview at a dog boarding facility. She feels this is the exact job she needs at this time.
The TLC star is beginning to feel that everything will soon fall into place for her. Unfortunately, she has a long way to go before accomplishing all her goals.
