Jazz Jennings has been away at college attending Harvard. However, she returns home in the upcoming I Am Jazz season. She is ready to claim independence while staying at her parents’ house. Yet, she faces a few obstacles.

Jazz had to do a lot of work to prove to Greg and Jeanette Jennings that she was ready to be on her own at school. However, Jeanette wasn’t sure if her daughter could handle being independent. So, she went to Harvard to help the TLC celeb settle into her new surroundings.
The I Am Jazz reality star didn’t like that her mother wanted to tag along. She wanted to show that she could do this with no one’s help.
So, now that she is heading back home after a semester away, she wants to prove that she doesn’t need her parents’ help. But will Jeanette be able to step back?
TLC Celeb Wants to Be Independent
Jazz Jennings doesn’t just want to assert her independence while she is back home in Florida. She is also on the search for love. She is ready to get back into the dating world. But, she seems secretive about her plan to find a partner.
Her mother, Jeanette Jennings, feels she must keep a closer eye on her daughter. She only wants what’s best for the I Am Jazz star.
They have been dealing with a lot of transphobic comments. So, she will do anything to prevent her daughter from being hurt. However, getting involved in her daughter’s love life doesn’t go well.
Jazz secures herself a date after four years. However, she gets upset when Jeanette crashes an after-party. She wants her freedom from her mother. But it seems like Jeanette is having a hard time letting her daughter figure things out by herself.
I Am Jazz Celeb’s Mental Health Suffers
Jazz Jennings has always dealt with negative comments. But the hate starts to get worse, and her mental health takes a hit.
Even though she wants independence from her parents, her mother is the only person she wants to talk to about the cruel treatment she has been getting from people.
Jazz becomes the target of death threats, setting off an alarm for Jeanette Jennings. The I Am Jazz celeb cries to her mother about all the hate. She is upset that the treatment she gets from people doesn’t stop. Dealing with the hate starts to take a toll on her.
Jazz Jennings has also dealt with a lot of mental health issues. In the new season, she feels her social anxiety take over. She starts to feel sick during a night out. Will she be able to get her mental health back on track?
