‘General Hospital’ spoilers- Will Carly and Sonny’s Marriage Survive?
General Hospital fans have watched power couple Sonny(Maurice Benard) and Carly(Laura Wright) Corinthos push through the hardest of times like losing son Morgan(Bryan Craig) and Scheming Nelle Benson(Chloe Lanier) setting Sonny up to destroy the Corinthos marriage.
No matter what, they always find their way back to each other. The recent antics of Nelle Benson may be the final straw. Carly is actually in prison for a crime she did not commit, but it’s Sonny’s handling of it that makes fans scratch their head.
Sonny questions Carly’s mental health on General Hospital
For months Nelle Benson has been gaslighting Carly, haunting her with her dead son Morgan. Her husband Sonny, five times married, believes she has had a nervous breakdown and has begged her to plead not guilty by reason of insanity. General Hospital fans of this couple have witnessed their many break-ups and make-ups due to lies and affairs but this time they may split up due to a betrayal of trust as Carly is in the fight of her life and it seems the only person there for her is her BFF Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

GH fans are up in arms after all these years on General Hospital. Because Sonny does not trust his wife enough to believe in her innocence. Carly did suffer a mental breakdown. That was when she thought her son Michael had been murdered many years ago. But Sonny stayed by her side during the entire ordeal. Just as Carly has stayed with Sonny during his breakdowns. Sonny has been preoccupied with his father Mike (Max Gail)who has Alzheimer’s and is not as engaged as he normally is but is that excusable, Carly is in prison!
