General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos Makes Grand Gesture to Phyllis Caulfield
GH spoilers confirm Sonny Corinthos approaches his baby mama Ava about buying Charlie’s Pub because she thinks about rejecting his offer. However, Ava might be hesitant to sell because that bar belonged to her brother Julian Jerome (William deVry).
General Hospital viewers know that Sonny hated Julian. So, Ava might feel bad selling the place that Jules loved to his mortal enemy. However, Ava doesn’t want it. Plus, he most likely wants to purchase the business to give it to his good friend Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) to replace the burned-down Tan-O.
Once Sonny Corinthos tells Ava Jerome his reasons, she may agree to sell so that Phyllis can have it, hint General Hospital spoilers. No doubt, the place is perfect for her. Also, his late father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail), loved that place back in the day.
In addition, his daughter Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) is running the place, as Soap Dirt reported recently. And even though Ava is no longer leaving town, Krissy will most likely continue to run Charlie’s. So, there are several good reasons for the mobster to buy the place.
General Hospital updates confirm that Phyllis is staying in town. And Charlie’s is the perfect place for her to rebuild. However, as Sonny spends more time with Phyllis, he may find himself drawn to his old life as Mike, suspect General Hospital spoilers.
Sonny Pulled to Nina on GH
General Hospital watchers can see that there is still a bit of “Mike” left in Sonny. Of course, he attempts to hide it, but his “Mike” side keeps creeping out. Recently, Sonny went to Mike’s ex flame Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) intending to lay down ground rules.
He also thought it would be best for Nina to leave town. However, the more they talked, he began to change his tune. He even got emotional. It’s clear to see that Sonny still has feelings for Nina, although he tries to fight it. He even hopes to forgive her one day, recall General Hospital recaps.

No doubt, he sounds nothing like Sonny Corinthos but a whole lot like “Mike.” So, if he gives Charlie’s to Phyllis and helps her get settled, he might fall back into his old ways.
And surely, he is bound to run into Nina because Phyllis connects them. The more Sonny is around his Nixon falls people, the more he may begin to change, predict General Hospital spoilers.
“Mike” Slowly Emerges on General Hospital
GH spoilers believe Sonny Corinthos might not be able to shake the part of him that was a simple bartender. No doubt, Mike is who the kingpin would have been if not for the mob life, believe General Hospital spoilers.
So, if Phyllis takes over Charlie’s, there’s a good chance Sonny Corinthos will always be in there. Especially because Krissy will be there also. And he might help Phyllis from time to time.
Perhaps, he’ll even fill in and tend bar once and a while. And of course, Nina will be in Charlie’s also. So, it won’t be nearly as easy as Sonny thinks to keep his distance from Nina. So, it looks like the three of them will start to spend more time together on General Hospital.
And that could cause his wife, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), to become insecure. Then, it could put a strain on their marriage. So, Sonny Corinthos may want Charlie’s for Phyllis. But, it might be the first step to the mobster building a whole new life and reconnecting with Nina on the ABC soap opera.
