‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Peter Redeemed by Retcon – Villain Sticks Around ‘GH’ for Good?

General Hospital spoilers suspect Peter August (Wes Ramsey) may get a shot at redemption. Because let’s face it – the mega-villain doesn’t seem to be leaving GH anytime soon. So, he might try to change his ways soon, predict ABC soap opera scoops.

General Hospital Spoilers: Peter August Still Evil to The Core

Currently, on GH, Peter August appears as rotten as ever. He’s blackmailing Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) by threatening Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) son James while waving a gun at her. And he’s threatened her new life in Nixon Falls.

Plus, he is after baby Louise and plans to take her away from Maxie if she doesn’t reunite to him. So, clearly, Peter still remains ruthless and without limits, say General Hospital spoilers. He reeks of violence and desperation at the moment.

Also, he believes Maxie betrayed him, and may want to punish her. It appears his brush with death and that time out in the deep freezer only made him crazier. He escaped his fate as a human tater tot after Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) shoved him into the basement subzero. Despite that drama, there is a twist that may allow Peter to be worthy of redemption on General Hospital.

Peter’s Victims Resurface on GH

General Hospital viewers now know Peter August did not kill Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) after all. However, for a couple of years, that was what the writers put forward. Now, they’re flipping the script with a retcon redemption by showing the people he targeted were not killed.  Instead, Drew’s in prison. Unfortunately, this is all too familiar because it’s the same thing he did with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

For five years, he kept Jason drugged in a Russian clinic. And Peter tries to justify this by saying he saved Jason’s life. But, he just wanted to keep Jason handy to kill his psycho father Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Also, nurse Chloe Jennings (Phoebe Kuhlman) is still alive. And she is in the same prison as Drew, recall General Hospital recaps. That’s despite the clear implication she was dead and in a dumpster on trash day.

General Hospital: Peter August (Wes Ramsey)

So, Henrik’s list of his murder victims is getting shorter. And GH may take it a step further and exonerate him in the death of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). When Franco was shot, they were struggling with the gun, and it went off. So, it could be said that Peter August didn’t intentionally shoot Franco.

They might even do some flashback video showing how it played out as an accident. No doubt, this will enrage viewers. But, apparently, General Hospital fans don’t have a choice. And Peter may be redeemed and stick around indefinitely. If so, this would not be the first time that GH has done a clean-up job on a villain or ignored awful deeds. Legendary Luke was a rapist after all…

Redemption for Henrik Ahead on General Hospital?

GH spoilers predict Peter August may try to be a better man. Because it certainly doesn’t look like he is going to die. The fact that most of his victims are popping up alive might mean the showrunners may set him up for vindication. Peter may announce Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is alive. If he reunites Sonny with his family it could kick off his redemption, hint General Hospital spoilers.

Then, after it comes out that he never killed Drew or Chloe, there won’t be any charges against him – except Franco. However, if the showrunners want to, they can argue the fact that Franco’s death might not be Peter’s fault. Then, he could walk away free to start a new life while getting a redemption story on General Hospital.

This might seem unthinkable but Franco went from serial killer to amazing husband and stepdad. Vengeful Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) did a complete turnaround. So, it’s entirely possible that “Henrik” may get a good guy rewrite too. Perhaps holding little Louise in his arms makes him see the error of his ways and reboots his entire personality.

It’s easy enough for the GH writers to take the storyline where they want. And they can even retool history (Nik not at fault for Hayden’s shooting, Robert suddenly having a law degree, etc). But that doesn’t mean the soap’s fanbase will like it. So, we’ll have to see how it all plays out. But, Peter August could very well turn from the dark side on the ABC sudser.
