‘General Hospital’ Prediction: Britt Plans Suicide – Will Austin Help Her?

General Hospital spoilers confirm that Britt Westbourne‘s health deteriorates, and she may ask Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt to help her end her pain and fear. Will Faison’s daughter take her own life to spare herself the torture of Huntington’s Disease on the ABC soap?

Britt Westbourne Terrified of Her Fate on General Hospital

For a while now, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has known she would develop Huntington’s Disease. And she recently opened up to Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) about her diagnosis. And she also updated her mom on GH.

Spoilers see Liesl Obrecht‘s (Kathleen Gati) stunned to learn from Britt how far her disease progressed on General Hospital. It turns out Britt’s been having symptoms for much longer than she realized. But all the drama pushed it to the back of her mind.

Now though, Huntington’s expert, Dr. Talone (Sharon Omi) told Dr. Westbourne that she’s in the advanced stages of the illness. These include physical deterioration, mental breakdown due to nerve damage in the brain, and, ultimately, death.

So, we see on General Hospital that Britt Westbourne’s scared of dying and also terrified of being incapacitated. One of the common symptoms of Huntington’s can be suicidal thoughts. And it seems that’s where she may be headed as she turns to Austin Holt.

Will Dr. Austin Gatlin Holt Assist with Suicide on GH?

This week, Liesl is increasingly concerned and talks to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) about her daughter. But next week, things shift. GH spoilers for Monday, December 5, say Britt tells Austin what she’s planning.

We suspect that she may plan to kill herself rather than suffer the rigors of this fatal illness. But will General Hospital doctor Austin Holt help her take her life? After all, Austin knows just how debilitating the illness can be.

He may be the best person for Britt to approach, given his sketchy medical history. As see on GH, Austin’s doing surgical procedures on criminals without reporting gunshot wounds to the authorities.

So, Austin Holt is very familiar with crossing lines on General Hospital. But would he go so far as to assist with suicide? Maybe. He understands what’s ahead for her as the disease progresses. So, he’s sympathetic.

Britt Westbourne Leaving General Hospital – Will Austin Be Her Way Out?

It’s already confirmed that Kelly Thiebaud is leaving GH and the role of Britt. In fact, she’s already working at ABC series Station 19 again, reprising her role of Eva Vasquez.

And with the Huntington’s storyline moving rapidly now, it’s likely that is what will see Britt Westbourne leave General Hospital. Even if Austin Holt refuses to help her, if this is how she wants to handle it, she can find a way.

As a doctor working at a busy hospital, Britt can easily access all sorts of medications she could use to trigger a fatal overdose. Given the new GH spoilers of her telling Austin about her plan, it seems possible.

Wait to see next week if Britt Westbourne plans to take her life before the disease cripples her — and whether Dr. Austin Holt will help her.
