‘General Hospital’: Jack Wagner Back as Frisco Jones?

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Jack Wagner may reprise his role as Frisco Jones. Frisco was a beloved legacy character, and his return could shake up Port Charles.

General Hospital: Frisco Jones and Felicia Scorpio

Frisco Jones first appeared on General Hospital back in 1984. His love story with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) was epic. The two searched for Aztec treasure together.

They also were deeply involved in the Asian Quarter drama. They were one of the most popular soap opera couples of the 80s.

Frisco entered the police academy and married the love of his life. The couple was happy for a couple of years. While working undercover for the WSB, Frisco supposedly died. The two got back together after he returned from the dead and they remarried.

They had more adventures and eventually their daughter, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), was born. Felicia became worried as her husband was more involved with the WSB. They divorced when he re-joined the agency.

Felicia fell in love with Mac Scorpio (John J. York), but her ex-husband reappeared when Maxie was at General Hospital in need of a heart transplant. Felicia left Mac for her old love and became pregnant with their second daughter, Georgie Jones (Lindze Letherman).

Agent Jones once again left for the WSB and Felicia reconciled with Mac, for good this time. Their daughters saw very little of their dad while growing up and Mac raised them. Later, Georgie was murdered by the Text Message Killer.

General Hospital: Jack Wagner Returns?

Frisco came back to GH in 2013 when he heard that Maxie was pregnant. He tried to win Felicia back, but it did not work. She happily stayed with Mac. Mr. Jones hasn’t been on General Hospital since then. He is now head of the WSB.

Jack Wagner moved on to other projects. He starred in Melrose Place in the 90s and had a successful singing career. Jack also starred on The Bold and the Beautiful, Santa Barbara and many made-for-TV movies.

It sounds like Jack Wagner is very open to making a return to General Hospital. He was recently interviewed on Dishing with Digest podcast where he was asked about reprising his role. His response was extremely positive.

Jack spoke of his love for the ABC soap and said, “I will always honor that show and its fans.” He claims that many people still call him Frisco and he knows how iconic the character is.

He loved coming back for the 50th anniversary in 2013 and said, “And so, yeah, I would absolutely come back!” Jack also spoke of having a storyline with Kirsten Storms and his real-life ex-wife, Kristina Wagner.

Where Does Frisco Fit in Port Charles?

Jack Wagner may show up on General Hospital soon. While the Frisco and Felicia storyline is no longer, Frisco would still be a welcome addition. GH is highlighting many of its legacy characters so he would fit right in.

Mr. Jones took over as head of the WSB after the “death” of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). Since Victor is now alive, there could be plenty of material between the two of them.

As for a new love interest, there are plenty of eligible Port Charles women. He and a newly divorced Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) might be interesting. Or Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) might be a good match.

Most importantly, Frisco can finally be a father to Maxie. She may always feel abandoned by him. She feels more for Mac, who raised her, but Maxie and her dad may be able to mend their relationship. Her three children can know him as another grandfather.
