General Hospital: Jacinda’s Twisted Fate – Michael Ruthlessly Ruins Her Life Forever?
General Hospital fans, today, we’re going to dive into what is next for Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell). Some of it’s bad, some of it’s good. Things are taking a precarious turn in court this week, exposing Michael and Jacinda’s lies and altering their futures.
The Dangerous Romantic History of Michael Corinthos and Abby Carlton on General Hospital
If you’re a longtime General Hospital watcher, you know what a tough time Michael had in his romantic life. I mean, it’s downright awful. Years before he met Jacinda, teenage Michael killed his stepmom, Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Joy Brown), to protect his mom, Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright).
They brought that up this week when Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was on the stand testifying about whether he was showing bias by not pursuing Michael as a suspect in Drew Cain Quartermaine’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting. And if you recall, Michael spent some time in prison for killing Claudia. And when he was in Pentonville, he was raped. That was his first sexual experience, which was terrible.
Michael’s Trauma on GH
He was a young man, it was just horrible. And then when he got out of Pentonville, Michael was suffering with trauma issues and he confided them to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and then Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) found out and she wanted to help. So she set up Michael with Abby, who was an exotic dancer at the time that Sam just happened to know.
So, Michael and Abby wound up clicking. They got into a relationship and she was Michael’s first intimate experience with a woman and his first deep love. So, it’s no wonder he’s unbothered by Jacinda’s line of work because Michael’s first love was Abby, who was in a similar line of work.
Tragedy Strikes Again: The Death of Abby Carlton and Nurse Sabrina Santiago on General Hospital
But let’s face it, Michael has the worst luck with women. He adored her, but Abby was killed instantly when she was crushed by a pile of construction debris that fell from a crane in Chicago that broke her body and Michael’s heart. He was devastated.
And let’s face it, his love life has been problematic ever since. Women that Michael gets involved with tend to wind up pregnant or dead or both. And that may be Jacinda Bracken’s fate, too. Do you remember sweet Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo), who Michael fell so hard for?
He loved nurse Sabrina. He was going to propose to her. And he had the ring. He had the plan. But the serial killer known as the hospital killer—I like to call him the GH Strangler, aka District Attorney Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi)—murdered Sabrina because she figured out he was the killer stalking the halls of General Hospital.
So, Michael was devastated and he slipped the engagement ring onto Sabrina Santiago’s cold dead finger while he was crying at her deathbed. Such a sad ending for Sabrina, but honestly, not Michael’s worst relationship. Not by far.
The Reign of Nelle Benson and Willow Tait’s Betrayal on GH
Before Jacinda or Willow tangled with Michael, there was evil awful Nelle Benson. She’s technically something like Michael’s step aunt since Nelle is Carly’s adopted half sister. You may remember Nelle came to Port Charles to destroy Carly and she gas lit and tricked Michael and then got pregnant with his kid.
And he ditched Nelle after finding out what she was up to and that she was targeting Carly. Then Nelle did Michael dirty, kept his son Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Viron Weaver) from him. Then she married cult leader Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). And then she fell off a cliff and died.
So, I do think Nelle was Michael’s absolute worst relationship. Even worse than Nelle’s cheating twin sister, Willow. And as awful as Willow has been to Michael, I still think Nelle was worse. And Jacinda seems much nicer than either Willow or Nelle, despite getting stuck in the trap of selling herself to pay her bills.
Willow Tait’s Cult Past and the Heartbreak of Sasha Gilmore
So, we all know Willow’s life was a train wreck before she met Michael. She grew up in a cult. She was lied to by her psycho mom, Harmony (Inga Cadranel), who gave her to the cult leader, Shiloh, to rape. And then Willow found out Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is her mom and that naughty Nelle is her twin.
And then Willow’s cancer almost killed her. Michael almost lost her then. And I think all of Willow’s weak-minded, crazy cult Shiloh stuff is what made Willow ripe for the plucking by Drew. He has turned Willow basically from a victim into a vile perpetrator.
And that affair broke Michael’s heart, but he was still willing to give Willow another chance. But instead, she chose awful Drewfus. And now Michael is sparking with Jacinda. You got to wonder what’ll happen to her because Michael is now in her life.
And just a quick pause because between Willow and Jacinda, there was one other woman. There was Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson.) Sasha had a hard time with drugs that almost killed her and a public breakdown. That was all before she got involved with Michael.
And then Sasha spent one drunken night in bed with Michael and she got pregnant. And then Willow targeted her and her baby Daisy and she scared Sasha so badly that she up and left the country. That was another heartbreak for Michael because he doesn’t get to see his other daughter Daisy very often.

The Trial of Michael Corinthos: Jacinda’s Alibi and Ezra Boyle’s Testimony
So, I fully expect Jacinda may turn up pregnant or get horribly sick or wind up dead because that’s what happens with women that get close to Michael. But first of all, Jacinda and Michael have to get through this trial, hopefully without either of them getting arrested because she lied and gave Michael an alibi.
And then Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) seems to have overheard Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Michael talking about that. And I think he’s the one who sent Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) the anonymous letter. And that led her down a path thanks to an assist from Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
He found the hotel registry that showed Ezra was with Jacinda the night Drew was shot. And he just admitted on the stand that Jacinda was with him. I imagine Sidwell (Carlo Rota) probably told Ezra to tell the truth or else because Sidwell does not want Willow convicted.
If she is, Drew will get kicked out of Congress and then he’s useless to Sidwell. Plus, Ezra is unmarried. He’s a small-time politician. He can weather a little scandal like a night with a hooker. So, Ezra broke Michael’s alibi on the stand.
DA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) tried to do damage control, but it was too late because no politician’s going to admit to being with a hooker on the stand unless it was true. So, I think Jacinda’s out of luck with the jury on that one.
Alexis Davis Grills Jacinda Bracken on the General Hospital Witness Stand
And although Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) told her to run, Jacinda showed up at the courthouse to ask Michael to bring the kids and come away with her, but then a bailiff hauled Jacinda in. She was put on the stand and she had to tell the truth.
Of course, Michael not having an alibi is a huge deal, but I don’t think Michael is going to hold any of it against Jacinda, even though he did ask her if the alibi had any conflicts. She knowingly lied to Michael when she agreed to the alibi.
I think Jacinda thought it was safe because she probably thought Ezra would never admit he was with her. And I don’t think he would have except that Sidwell ordered him to. Plus, Alexis literally had the receipts.
Will Michael Corinthos Find Lasting Love on GH or Will Jacinda Become Collateral Damage?
So, I think Michael and Jacinda are going to weather this storm, and Michael is going to keep seeing her, but being with him is dangerous. If General Hospital history teaches us anything, the soap rarely allows Michael to stay happy for long. His whole life has just been a series of tragedies, one after the other.
Me personally, I’m actually rooting for Jacinda to get pregnant. I think Michael would love it. I think Willow would hate it. And I do hope Jacinda doesn’t fall off a cliff, get cancer, and isn’t targeted by a serial killer. And also, if she does have Michael’s baby, I hope Willow doesn’t come stalking her the way she did Daisy and Sasha.
But at least Michael knows about it and can protect them. After all the times that Michael has had his heart broken, he deserves love in his life. So maybe Jacinda sticks around. But with more mob violence coming to Port Charles and Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) plotting against Michael’s dad, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), you never know. We could see Jacinda as collateral damage and Michael’s heart broken again. But I hope not.
