‘General Hospital’: Greedy Gladys Back – Cleans Sasha Out?

General Hospital’s Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) is back to her old money-grubbing ways, and she may gamble away all of Sasha Gilmore‘s (Sofia Mattsson) money.

Poor Sasha can’t catch a break on GH. And her mother-in-law may soon make her go bankrupt on the ABC sudser.

General Hospital: Sasha Gilmore on the Mend

Currently, on GH, Sasha Gilmore is still grieving the loss of her husband, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). Indeed, she has been hit with tragedy after tragedy in the last couple of years. First, she got hooked on drugs.

And she nearly died because of drug-pushing mobster Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). But it seemed things were turning around for the model when she became pregnant with Brando’s baby.

Tragically, their newborn son died, recall General Hospital recaps. So, she turned back to drugs to cope. She spiraled out until she lost her place in Deception and control of her finances. Gladys stepped up after Brando died.

And she seemed to become Sasha Gilmore’s rock — someone she could depend on. But Gladys Corbin is grieving also. And she’s reverting to her previous behavior on General Hospital.

Of course, she cares a great deal about her daughter-in-law. And she doesn’t want to hurt her. But she could very well cause her next breakdown.

Gladys Corbin Goes Downhill on GH

General Hospital’s snarky Gladys Corbin was a greedy schemer when she first arrived — and for a long time after. All she cared about was money and getting what she thought she was owed.

When she first came to Port Chuck, she constantly pushed Brando. She wanted him to work for his cousin Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in the mob biz.

Gladys had this dream of Brando becoming Sonny’s right-hand man, making both of them filthy rich and powerful. She finally changed her ways on General Hospital.

Now, Gladys is a warm and loving person that fans have grown to love. However, now that she is Sasha’s legal guardian and controlling her money, something has shifted. And it spells trouble.

Too Much for Sasha on General Hospital?

GH fans are outraged that Sasha keeps getting hit with heartache. Just as she begins to heal from one tragedy, another strikes. Viewers want her to be happy — at least for a little while.

But it doesn’t look like she’ll find happiness anytime soon. Gladys is now participating in Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) poker games at The Savoy. And chances are, she will gamble with Sasha’s money.
