General Hospital Spoilers: February Sweeps Full of Action

We’ve got your latest GH spoilers for February Sweeps and they’re pretty exciting but there are far fewer than usual. We’ll unpack them, tell you what to expect, and keep our fingers crossed that ABC will release some more spoilers closer to Sweeps onset.

Sweeps begin on Thursday, February 1st. There are 20 episodes in Sweeps going through February 28th. February has 29 days this year because it’s a leap year. But no Sweeps action on the 29th on General Hospital. Although I’m sure it’ll still be exciting then just based on sheer momentum.

Spencer Cassadine & Trina Robinson Targets on GH

Now let’s start with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). They’re in Paris by week one and we know Nicholas Chavez is off the set shooting his Netflix series. He’s on a whole other set filming for the Menendez brothers murder series for season two of Monster.

If you don’t remember them, the Menendez brothers were infamous for shooting their wealthy parents. They alleged their dad was sexually abusing them and the prosecutor alleged they killed their parents for money. The brothers remain in prison today.

I’m so excited to see how Nicholas Chavez does in the role — he’s sure to crush it. What’s odd is that he and Trina leave town for her semester in Paris to cover for his leave of absence from General Hospital. And yet we have a Sweeps spoiler for them. Let me tell you the spoiler then we’ll talk about it.

It says Spencer Cassadine and Trina Robinson are in Paris but a threat looms and Friday we had a glimpse of them in Paris. So, I have a little side item from a decently accurate leaker – someone in her family works behind the scenes at GH. She said that Spencer will go missing while in Paris and won’t return with Trina.

Spencer Missing on General Hospital?

And the GH leaker also said that Spencer leaves a note indicating to Trina he’s gone to find his dad and baby brother. But the leaker also said that he’s forced to write the note and all is not as it seems. So, all that last part if not official spoilers. It may not work out that way on General Hospital.

However, I will say that he’s got to be off-screen through March. His Netflix shoot was from December 16th and is supposed to wrap mid-February. That puts him off-screen through four to five weeks after the end of his other project. And because of that, it makes sense that he could go missing.

One leak says it happens on February 2nd but we’ll see. That would free up Trina to go back to Port Charles without him at the end of her semester or earlier if they want to write a twist. The threat could come from Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) or someone who hates the Cassadines.

However, it’s more likely it’s Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) who hunts them down and kidnaps Spencer to hold hostage in exchange for her baby Ace. It can go lots of ways on General Hospital and it’s really going to shake things up for “Sprina.”

General Hospital February Sweeps Spoilers: Former Couple Reunites – Spixie Rises?

The next General Hospital spoiler is about a rekindled romance. The spoiler says a couple from the past reheat. Well, I bet a dollar that it’s Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Spinelli’s clearly into Maxie.

Even Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) even mentioned it last week. That came after The Jackal got obviously jealous over Cody coming around with a gift for her son. Of course, what Spinelli doesn’t know is that Cody sees Maxie as a baby sister since he’s Mac Scorpio‘s (John J. York) son.

And he’s the dad who raised Maxie when her parents weren’t around on General Hospital. I’m kinda excited about this. I adore seeing Bradford Anderson on my screen. And I was always a big “Spixie” shipper.

Also, I don’t think they got a fair shake at romance when they were younger because of all her schemes. But I feel like they’re in a good place for a mature, passionate romance. Plus it’s convenient since he’s already living in her house.

GH Spoilers: Familiar Face Returns

Okay, the last spoiler for sweeps is the blast from the past. It says a guy from General Hospital’s past is back in Port Charles. I mean that literally opens the door to anyone. Now the obvious guess is Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) because Steve is confirmed back.

I saw a comment here the other day saying they doubt Jason’s back in sweeps because Burton said he’s not filming yet. Here’s a few things on that. First, it was more than two weeks ago that Burton said he hadn’t started filming yet. So, that doesn’t mean that he’s not filming right now.

Second, General Hospital is not going to allow him to reveal anything about the timing of his first airdate. They got fans all amped up with the promo that ran on the 60th-anniversary special. So, they’re not going to delay it too long or they will pay the price for disappointing fans by teasing and waiting to deliver.

Jason Morgan Back for General Hospital Sweeps

Sweeps is all about delivering ratings to help get advertiser money. And delivering Jason’s return guarantees that. So, I still think we’ll see Jason at some point during Sweeps. It may be the last few days, but I don’t doubt it. That being said, I also suspect that we might have someone else coming back to Port Charles from the past.

It leaked a while back and I shared the leak at the time that three actors were coming back. One of them clearly was Ryan Carnes who came and went as Lucas Jones for his mom Bobbie Spencer’s (Jacklyn Zeman) funeral. The other one had a description that aligned with Steve Burton.

That his character had left within the last five years. But there was another leaked return that said this character had been gone more than ten years. If that leak holds true, then I’m seriously hoping to have Ted King back as Lorenzo Alcazar.

Alcazar Resurfaces on GH?

And there’s another hint that says it’s someone with an axe to grind with the Cassadines. I will say that the Alcazar does have a Cassadine-esque grudge since Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) threw his brother off a balcony to his doom. But we’ll see.
