General Hospital Comings and Goings: Helena Mattsson Debuts as Sasha Gilmore

Last week, Helena Mattsson appeared on GH as Sasha Gilmore. When Sofia Mattsson needed to take a few days off work, she reached out to her big sister with an idea. Sofia asked Helena Mattsson if she would temporarily take over as Sasha Gilmore.

At first, Helena thought Sofia was joking. But, she was excited about the chance to play Sasha and quickly said yes. Helena is an established actress who’s appeared in films such as Surrogates and Iron Man 2, and several others.

Also, she’s a business owner. Helena Mattsson started the company Ava Carrington, a line of luxury handbags. Sofia is also a part of the biz, and it’s something that she and her big sis are very passionate about. A month ago, Helena revealed on Instagram she was taping at GH.

No doubt, it was a treat to watch Helena portray Sasha. General Hospital fans will get to see Sofia’s sister Helena a bit more this week before her sister’s return. The Swedish actress shared scenes with Sasha’s love interest, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor).

And she only had great things to say about Brando’s portrayer, Johnny Wactor. During Helena’s time as Sasha, she and Brando made progress in their romance. And when Sofia comes back, things should be looking up for “Brasha.”

Cast Update: Jake Webber Back for Big Storyline

General Hospital casting updates promise Jake Webber (Hudson West) returns soon. Recent spoilers say Jake faces a lot of questions when he comes home. So, it looks like Jake becomes the number one suspect in the bizarre events happening to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).

GH fans may recall that Jake has a history of strange behavior. So, he may be acting out because his mom wants to move on from her late husband, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). Now, Liz is ready to start over with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).

And Jake might be upset that Liz is prepared to let Franco go. However, there’s also a chance that he’s not to blame and Liz is having a breakdown. Soon, we should learn more about what is going on with Elizabeth.

CarSon Divorce Turns Ugly on General Hospital

Soon, on GH, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) moves forward with her divorce from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Recently, a new face came onto the scene when Carly hired her shark of a divorce lawyer, Rebecca (Kate Orsini).

And soon, Sonny’s divorce attorney Malcolm (David Rees Snell), debuts also. Elsewhere, Johann (Max Decker) sticks around as Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) henchman.

Now, Johann has WSB agent Krieger (Josh Adamson) working on Victor’s behalf. And agent Krieger may cause some major danger for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Also, agent Muller (Kristina Klebe) is on-scene as another spy for the WSB.

And she appears to be one of the good guys. So, don’t miss GH to see Helena Mattsson finish out her stint as Sasha Gilmore. And soon, Sofia will step back into the role on the ABC sudser.
