With more than seven million followers, Dr. Lee has a loyal battalion of popaholics tuning in to watch her videos and coming back for more. With six years of pops to watch, that’s a whole lot of ooze to choose from.
When Dr. Sandra Lee first started posting videos, she included other cosmetic procedures as well as blackheads and zits. The standard surgical and cosmetic videos snared tens of thousands of posts and some got a few hundred thousand eyes on them. But when it came to her pop-shots, those have millions of views, go viral and are shared all over.

Eleven years ago, Dr. Sandra Lee began posting videos about cosmetic procedures. But she hit internet gold with her first blackhead busting compilation set to the song Push It. Her next popathon rocked to Michael Jackson and each brought in hundreds of thousands of views.
A few days later, in the Dr. Pimple Popper YouTube, she lopped off a tick that a woman thought was a growth and the internet went wild, rewarding her with more than four million views. That was one of her rare videos that wasn’t a good old fashioned spewing pop-fest.
The older gentleman below is a fan-favorite and recurring patient of Dr. Lee. This video alone amassed 54 million views as Mr. Wilson has a condition which requires constant blackhead extraction. Not only has he appeared in highly-watched Dr. Pimple Popper You Tube videos, but he’s appeared up on her TLC show, much to the delight of fans.
Two of Dr. Sandra Lee’s YouTube most viewed recordings, before TLC came calling featured oversized blackheads. The one below as the largest blackhead she said she’d removed, to date. More than 55 million of her loyal popsters watched as she dug out a dilated “pore of winer” from a patient’s back. It was so big that Dr. Lee had to numb his back and she teased about his wife not squeezing his back zits.
Finally, the most viewed of Dr. Pimple Popper’s classic YouTube videos was the one below which has raked in more than 70 million looks. The doc pulled out the giant blackhead she said looked like a “plug from a faucet” that the patient didn’t want to look at. It left a gaping hole on her back. In addition to the Dr. Pimple Popper YouTube channel, there’s a slew of clips from the show over on the official TLC social channel. What’s interesting is that the chatty dermatologist’s personal YT outdoes that of the reality channel when it comes to views.
However, the video content in this channel differs drastically.
While Dr. Lee’s video’s on her stream are straight from her office, the ones on TLC are footage shown on the TV show, with occasional bonus footage here and there. The video above earned almost 10 million looks as it announced the second season of Dr. Pimple Popper, while still using the now-defunct branding of This is Zit.
Blackheads are king on Lee’s other content stream. But the TLC show is also about the lumps to be squeezed. The giant ear bump above attracted five million to come check it out. Speaking of lumps, the bigger they are, the more people want to see them. Check out the giant growth below.

Dr. Sandra Lee’s most popular video on YT isn’t on her personal channel or on the TLC official either. Instead, it’s on the affiliate channel for TLC in the UK. Some shows seem to really resonate with foreign viewers. But in this case, it may just be a primal response to watching her squeeze, cut, poke, prod, and extract.
The video above is, to date, Dr. Pimple Popper‘s most viewed across any of the YouTube platforms and it’s on the UK TLC channel. More than 104 million people have watched this grandma get an enormous blackhead that’s been growing for 55 years on her ear extracted. The core is rock hard as Dr. Lee taps it on her table to let her patient hear it.
So, the big question is why these videos fascinate and what draws in popaholics. Is it a visceral reaction to seeing the puss and goo squirt? Or is it that Dr. Sandra Lee is doing more than carving off lipoma and extracting blackheads. She’s changing lives.
