However, there were a lot of traumatic memories that happened when Lacey was a child that caused her to turn to food. The My 600-lb Life personality claimed her father had anger issues, so she didn’t have much of a relationship with him. Yet, she claimed to have an even worse relationship with her mother.
As Lacey grew older, she described how she began to turn to food more frequently. And she described how she began to gain weight.

Lacey Buckingham got into a fight with her fiancé and his sister, as shared by Soap Dirt. This happened while they were all on the road together, as they traveled down to Houston, Texas for Lacey to meet with Dr. Younan Nowzaradan.
After Lacey received a death threat, she called the local police to come to her rescue. This is when her fiancé decided to end their engagement, as he was upset she called the police on him. The tense emotions and exhaustive Texas heat made her feel sick. At one point, she even said she felt a “heart attack” and needed an ambulance.

Even though she was released from the hospital, the My 600-lb Life personality didn’t go through with Dr. Nowzaradan’s surgery. Dr. Now denied her the weight-loss operation. And he even told her to figure out her life’s priorities. She moved back to her hometown without many of her personal items by her side.
So, where is Lacey Buckingham from My 600-lb Life now? There were many people who wondered if she died after the end of the episode. Some rumors circled around, which said she passed away after the show.
