Devon Takes Bio-Baby from Distraught Abby on ‘Young and the Restless’?
Young and the Restless spoilers point to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) may seek custody of his biological son, Dominic. Now, Abby Newman‘s (Melissa Ordway) falling apart and was ready to jet halfway across the world. She gives little thought to the well-being of her newborn son on the CBS soap opera. And the billionaire bio-dad isn’t the only one to notice on Y&R.
Young and the Restless: Devon Hamilton Notices Abby Newman Shows No Concern for Dominic
Abby Newman is not thinking clearly. She is determined to fly to Spain to investigate the “death” of her husband, Chance Chancellor (Phillip Chancellor IV). Christine Williams (Laurelee Bell) reports that the undercover agent died in an explosion at his safe house. However, the newlywed is sure he is still alive on Young and the Restless.
With no thought for Dominic, Abby plans to leave immediately. While describing her plan, she makes no mention of her son. When Abby Newman‘s repeatedly told her actions may put her life and her family in danger, she blows it off. Young and the Restless recaps showed Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) finally talked her out of going. That came after a blow up with Devon Hamilton.

However, people notice her lack of concern for her young child. She assumed Devon Hamilton would care for the boy. But then she angrily decided not to ask Devon since he did not support her trip. Her thoughts and actions are frantic. She is falling apart on Young and the Restless.
Loved Ones Worry on Y&R – Donor at Top of Her List
Chance’s death is sinking in for Abby on Young and the Restless. As her grief sets in, her behaviors grow more erratic. On a recent walk in the park with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), the new mother completely ignores her son’s cries. So, her brother is forced to comfort the child. And this is the same behavior Devon sees and has him worried. But as a sperm donor, he’s got no rights, right?

The entire Newman family stands by Abby with support and love on Young and the Restless. However, it appears she is unable to care for her newborn properly. She had several emotional outbursts around the boy. So, her mother-in-law, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast), stays to help with grandson Dominic. But, the atmosphere in the home is intense and chaotic. And that’s bothering Devon Hamilton.
Young and the Restless Updates: Devon Takes Action
Devon Hamilton has bonded with Dominic. He agreed to be the donor to help make the baby. But after the birth of the boy, he planned to step back and only play the role of godfather. However, now Chance is presumed dead on Young and the Restless, so everything has changed.
That wasn’t what Devon agreed to originally. He and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) helped on Young and the Restless but with another set-up in mind. He donated and Mariah carried the baby for a married happy couple. Now, the dad is “dead” and the mom’s off her rocker. So, she and Devon worry more by the day.
As Abby spirals downward, Devon feels forced to take action. Young and the Restless updates hint the Devon will attempt to take charge of his son. He has supported the Newman heir the best way he knows how. Now he must put the needs of the newborn first. Lucky for him, his live-in girlfriend is a top-notch lawyer. Will Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) help him?
Current spoilers hint that Dom’s overwhelmed mom could ask Devon to take her infant temporarily as she works to get her life together. However, as their bond grows, Devon may decide he needs to make the arrangement permanent on Young and the Restless. Of course, his feelings are tangled since he lost his unborn child when Hilary Curtis died.
So, an ugly custody battle could be in the works on Young and the Restless. Can Devon Hamilton win a bid to become the primary caregiver to Dominic? Soon, his actions have significant consequences on Abby and others. Things will get very complicated, especially with the return of Chance ahead.
