Days of Our Lives Valerie Grant is a dedicated doctor. She loves her job. Dr. Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) summoned her old friend to Salem to help with a patient. The patient was none other than Valerie’s old flame, Mayor Abe Carver. She fully intended to return to her former job once Abe’s health improved. As luck would have it, Dr. Grant and Abe Carver rekindled their romance instead.
The couple had some rough patches along the way. However, they’re more one of the more stable couples in town. Valerie’s son, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), and Abe’s daughter, Lani Price (Sal Stowers) are the biggest contention between the couple. The loss of their grandson has certainly bonded the couple even more. However, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that the couple might have bigger issues to deal with in the future.

Days of Our Lives – Valerie Grant Gets A Job Offer
One thing that makes Valerie and Abe such a good couple is they respect each other’s professions. They both realize that they’re involved with someone who is “married” to their career. Abe is a dedicated Mayor. In fact, he’s so dedicated to the job that he put his life and reputation on the line to bring down a corrupt Commissioner. Valerie is just as dedicated to her job. Valerie saved some of Salem’s most popular residents, including Mayor Carver.
DOOL winter preview spoilers reveal that Valerie Grant will be offered a once in a lifetime job opportunity. As a dedicated physician, Valerie would surely want to go where she would be needed most. However, her heart is in Salem with Abe and her son, Eli. Valerie has been given a second chance at love with Abe. Is she willing to give it all up for her career? It’s certainly a possibility.

DOOL – Sparks Will Fly Between Abe Carver and Sheila
Although their kids have been the main source of Abe and Valerie’s troubles a new woman might come between the couple. Sheila Watkins (Tionne (T-Boz) Watkins) will be Abe Carver’s new assistant. They will be spending a lot of time together. There is a fine line between love and hate. Sheila and Abe are walking that line. The two are a thorn in each others side on Days of Our Lives. Now that Sheila will be working for Mayor Abe Carver will the hate turn more to love?
Days of Our Lives spoilers show if Valerie decides to leave Salem it’s possible that Abe might find himself falling for Sheila. She isn’t his normal type. Abe’s type is career women, not career criminals. However, opposites do attract. There’s chemistry between this unlikely duo. Abe likes a strong woman and Sheila certainly fits the bill.
Abe Carver and Valerie Grant have staying power. They’re a couple with few obstacles in their way. As an older, more mature couple they have the potential to outlast many of the younger couples on DOOL. However, with a new job offer for Valerie and a new assistant for Abe will this couple be able to survive the long haul or will this be the end of their relationship?
