When Will ‘Days of Our Lives’ Return – What Happens Next with Ciara and Ben?
Days of Our Lives gave us one nail-biting cliffhanger leaving fans asking when will the NBC soap return and what’s coming for Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and her kidnapper Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).
We’re now into the Summer Olympics preemption period. The beloved NBC soap is off-air starting Friday, July 23. Needless to say, viewers everywhere want to know what happens next for the star-crossed lovers and everyone else left hanging on the daytime drama.
Will Days of Our Lives Be on Today – What Happens to Ciara Brady?
Sadly, for DOOL fans, the soap will not air Friday, July 23. Due to the start of the Summer Olympics, viewers will have to wait a couple of weeks to watch the NBC drama. This is the first time in DOOL history the show is to be preempted for three Fridays in a row. However, the network always airs the Summer games. So, that is nothing new.
When we last left off on Days of Our Lives, Ciara Brady was about to marry her childhood sweetie, Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson). However, everything seemed to be going wrong for Ciara. First, Ciara’s mom called to say she couldn’t make it because of airplane issues. Not to mention, Ciara’s niece, Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), got into it with her, destroying her wedding bouquet.

Plus, Ciara Brady’s brother ,Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), kept annoying the bride-to-be with his brand of cynicism. It seems everyone she talks to is pro-Ben Weston. However, just when things look like they are looking up for Ciara, her driver doesn’t take the right route to the chapel.
Lo and behold, it is none other than her ex-husband Ben behind the wheel of the limo. The look on Ciara’s face is priceless as Ben wishes her a happy anniversary. It seems Ben wasn’t going to let his woman get hitched to someone else on their one year anniversary. Back at the church, Theo was stunned to see Claire under the veil on Days of Our Lives and that his bride was MIA.
When Will DOOL Air Again – and What Will Ben Weston Do Then?
Days of Our Lives returns at its regularly scheduled times and channels starting Monday, August 9. Until then, viewers can cheer on their favorite Olympic athletes during NBC’s coverage of the Summer Games. Yes, it is a long wait, especially with the cliffhanger endings the week of July 19. So, when will Days of our Lives air again? It’s two weeks to the day…
Ben Weston drove off with his lady fair Ciara on Thursday, July 22. Now, Ben’s plan is to take Ciara to the infamous cabin where their fairytale romance began. Recaps show Ciara Brady rescued by the handsome Ben after a motorcycle crash that left her injured. Furthermore, Ben helped Ciara recover and even splinted her broken arm on Days of Our Lives.
The unlikely pair’s feelings blossomed from there. CIN gained super couple status on DOOL with their passionate love and supernatural psychic connection. Plus, they had to deal with all of Salem’s objection to their romance. But over the long haul, nearly everyone came to accept that Ben’s a changed man and their love is legit, remind Days of Our Lives recaps.

At present, Ben Weston believes Ciara’s amnesia can be cured by taking her down memory lane. Yet, kidnapping is a serious crime. Ben takes a huge risk with his decision to whisk the bride before her wedding to another man. If Ciara cannot remember her life and love with him, Ben could face serious prison time.
After all, he does have a rap sheet and is a reformed serial killer. Can Ben Weston get Ciara Brady to have total recall now that they’re alone? It’ll be a couple of Fridays before we find out what he does next.
Is Days of Our Lives on Tomorrow – What Date is it Back?
DOOL will not air again until the second week in August. No one likes their favorite show canceled for sports. NBC soap fans are no exception. The daytime drama first started in 1965. In fact, it’s the third longest-running show on the network. Days of Our Lives has been a favorite and household name for decades.
The fan-following of the soap is worldwide. Viewers all over are going to just have to wait for a little while for it to return. And by now, longtime Days of our Lives watchers should know that Summer Games coverage is standard for the network. But it is hard to wait and see what’ll happen with Ben Weston and whether he can win back Ciara Brady.

Will DOOL Air During the Olympics?
So, will Days of our Lives air during the Olympics? Once again, the answer is a resounding “no” – DOOL will not be aired during the 2021 Summer Olympics. The soap is pre-empted from July 23 through August 6. However, rest assured, Days of our Lives is back in full swing starting Monday, August 9. NBC even made a cute little Olympics promo for disappointed fans. See above.
Of course, everyone wants to know what will happen to Ciara Brady and a very determined Ben Weston. Days of our Lives writers promised a CIN reunion of epic proportions – after a cliffhanger. They delivered the cliffhanger, so it seems the kidnapping is only the beginning. Can Ben get Ciara to finally remember their romance? We’ll see in a couple of weeks.
