‘Days of our Lives’ Comings & Goings: Eric Brady Out – Who’s Left on ‘DOOL’ After So Many Exits?

Days of our Lives comings and goings confirm Eric Brady‘s leaving, and that comes straight from Greg Vaughan. With yet another DOOL actor going, we have to wonder who’s left on the set when the dust settles? Here’s the info on Vaughan’s departure and how many others leave by Fall from the NBC sudser.

Greg Vaughan Confirmed Eric Brady Exit from Days of our Lives

It was the Eric Brady actor that revealed his exit that happened months ago, back in 2019. But with DOOL’s long tape-to-air delay, we won’t see Eric’s departure until Fall. Vaughan said his eight-year “reign” at Days of our Lives ended.

Plus, Eric Brady’s alter-ego says he decided to go during the reportedly rough 2019 contract re-negotiations. You may recall that’s the same event that left Days of our Lives actress Camila Banus crying in her car about how they’d treated her, as we reported at the time. Now, Eric is out of Salem, too.

In the end, Vaughan wrapped filming as Eric a long time ago and focused on his role on Queen Sugar and other projects. With the NBC soap running out of new episodes in October, that means Eric Brady leaves this Fall. As a newlywed, will Eric’s wife Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) go too?

Who Else Leaves DOOL? Gabi Hernandez, Ciara Brady & More

We’ve also covered other Days of our Lives comings and goings, including Gabi Hernandez’s departure. Plus, news leaked recently that just-married Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) headed out too. That’s a whole lot of leading ladies leaving the NBC sudsfest.

Plus, Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and husband Will Horton (Chandler Massey) have final Days of our Lives scene in September. Also, Kristian Alfonso announced she’d leave the role of Hope Brady this Fall. And her former scene partner Galen Gering’s exiting as Rafe Hernandez.

And just a few weeks ago, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) rolled out of Days of our Lives with baby mama Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). They’ve got no ETA for a return to Salem. So, who does that leave in Salem for storylines once they resume filming, reportedly in September?

What Will New Days of our Lives Episodes Look Like With Stripped-Down Cast?

As of now, here’s who we’ve heard is left for DOOL storylines when they get back to work. Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) sticks around post-Gabi’s departure. And his girl Gwen (Emily O’Brien) was still around at the hiatus, we’ve heard. That’s one couple. And “Chabby” should remain.

We expect both sides of “Ericole” gone from Days of our Lives. But Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) may remain in Salem. As for “Bristen,” – there’s no word on their return. Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) may stay off the set due to health concerns.

We’ve heard Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) stay on Days of our Lives. Jack and Jennifer might leave if the NBC soap reacts to Melissa Reeves’ controversy. Among mature couples, Doc and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) should be around.

Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) remain. But, with Victoria leaving, if Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) stays around, he’ll need new love, unless they recast Ciara. So, will NBC casting hire new and recast actors – or rotate the revolving door to bring back prior actors? Now, get ready for Eric Brady’s goodbye.
