Darcey Silva Fakes Engagement to Get Back on TLC’s 90 Day Fiance?

Is 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days star Darcey Silva faking an engagement to try and stay on the TLC show? Her “engagement” to Tom Brooks could be more a ploy than a love connection. There are some signs that she might be trying to extend her 15 minutes of fame however she can.

A source inside the TLC show told Soap Dirt that most seasons of 90 Day Fiance have “fake” couples that can be easily controlled by the producers. In the most recent season, we exposed that Ricky Reyes was doing their bidding.

90 Day Fiance – Darcey Silva Chased Fame For Years

Before Darcey Silva landed the gig on the TLC’s 90 Day Fiance, she already had the reality show bug. Darcey has shopped for a reality show for quite some time. She even went as far as shooting a low budget pilot for her own reality show featuring her and her twin sister.

The promo shows she and her twin promoting themselves as movers and shakers in NYC. Darcey Silva’s planned reality show was called Life in the Mirror, and you can see a promo for it below. Darcey and twin Stacey Silva claim to own a production company that’s been active since 2010 but not much has happened for them. They said they “executively produced” a comedy film.

Their twins’ pilot didn’t fly and no networks picked it up. This was years before her 90 Day Fiance break emerged. Now that she’s got a taste of reality show fame, she might want more. But since Jesse Meester dumped her on the last season of Before the 90 Days, that ended her run with the TLC romance reality series – or did it?

All Darcey Silva Needs Is Another Foreign Fiance… Like Tom Brooks

This is where a possible fake engagement might benefit Darcey Silva. She was on two seasons of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days with Jesse. If she wanted a third season of the TLC show, she needed a new guy. But because Jesse ditched her, that left a gap in her possible plans. She needs another foreign fiance.

On the 90 Day Fiance Tell All, Darcey Silva said she was already seeing a new man. Then she began posting cryptic messages on her social media. Next, Darcey scaled up to posts showing off Tom Brooks, a British hunk, who works in PR for a women’s fitness fashion label. This led fans to think she’s found a new love.

Darcey’s Strange Social Media Interaction with New “Boyfriend”

See the pic above from his IG where Darcey Silva hashtagged him as “my man” and called him handsome. He posted a stilted and strange reply and called her “my Darcey”. But the weirdest part was her comment “I respect you dearly”. It almost seems like it was from an awkward script.

Next came a picture of her hand with a diamond ring that “her man” shared on his Instagram. That lead fans to assume they were engaged. Tom Brooks, the mystery man from England, also offered up some cryptic messages of his own. This seemed to validate Darcey’s engagement. He replied to fan comments that he put a ring on it. When followers asked if they were engaged, he said “what do you think?”

90 Day Fiance – “Engagement” for Reality Show Reasons?

It sure seemed fast for Darcey to get dumped by Jesse, start seeing a new guy and then get engaged. But since Tom Brooks is from the UK, that would qualify her to get on the show with a foreign fiance. In now deleted Instagram comments, the “fiance” said they have known each other for years. If that’s true, perhaps he was doing her a favor.

Darcey Silva posted online, “Sometimes the love of your life comes after the mistake of your life”. Fans took “mistake of your life” to mean her ex, Jesse Meester. But was it love or lust for fame that drove this “romance”? Jesse Meester commented online that the engagement is not real. However, if Tom Brooks and Darcey Silva are longtime friends, maybe he was willing to go on 90 Day Fiance with her.

Is This Another TLC – Sharp Entertainment Fraud?

There’s no official word about another attempt on Darcey’s part to get back on the show. But… you have to admit, this would be the avenue she would need to take if she wants back on the reality show. Maybe she thought TLC would find it interesting if she had a second try at love, much like the Bachelor does with the Bachelorette.

Our inside source told Soap Dirt that many Sharp Entertainment producers for 90 Day Fiance are from the UK so it’s convenient for them to film there. That’s why the producers were so supportive of Rachel Bear and Jon Walters on the last season. Plus, TLC and Sharp Entertainment producers are known for setting up scenes for drama. They did it with Ricky last season and this season with Kalani Faagata.

The show is known for it’s far from reality storylines, so it’s plausible that production could be in on a fake engagement, or at the very least, turn a blind eye.

Darcey Silva and Tom Brooks scrubbed their relationship off their social media profiles. It’s like it never existed, so if Darcey hoped to be on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days or another TLC show with Tom Brooks, that dream may be done.

What do you think? Was Darcey frauding to stay on the TLC show or was her new love the real deal?
