Counting On: Joy-Anna Duggar Pushes Past Her Limits

Joy-Anna and her two nieces got to do something she thought was impossible for her. They entered the Sprint Triathlon and were happy they got to do it together. The three of them did a four hundred meter swim, thirteen miles of biking, and a 5k run.

The Counting On mom was very modest – even in the water – wearing shorts and a tank top to tread the water. Joy-Anna Duggar said she’d been training for the event over the past few months and when she first started out, she couldn’t even swim forward in the pool.

She said she realized she put herself in a box of “I could never do that” and “only athletic people can accomplish that,” but now she thinks she can do a lot more than she believed. She encouraged other people to push toward their goals and do things they never thought were possible.
