‘Counting On’: Derick Dillard Talks Making a Living as a Stripper

Counting On‘s Derick Dillard shared some interesting views recently, including about making a living as a stripper. It seems like the TLC husband and his wife, Jill Duggar Dillard, disagree on somethings that might cause some trouble in their marriage.

Counting On: Derick Dillard Isn’t Shy

Derick Dillard of Counting On doesn’t keep quiet about how he feels about anything. In fact, that trait got him in trouble during his time on the show, and fans think that is the real reason he and Jill aren’t on anymore.

Counting On viewers had some questions for Derick about women and independence. They asked if they would teach their daughters to be able to support themselves if they had daughters. Derick Dillard said that he definitely would want his daughters to be able to support themselves.

He went through a bunch of situations that a woman might need to be able to take care of herself financially. Counting On hubby Derick Dillard even said, “Anything goes. Whatever floats your boat,” but quickly changed that up. He said that things like being a stripper or an exotic dancer are out of the question for his girls.

Derick Makes More Jabs

Counting On celebrity Derick went on to say that they wouldn’t want their kids to live at home in their 30s. He said, “We wouldn’t want a child of ours to stay home in their 30s and live in our basement or something,” and laughed. Jill Duggar looked very uncomfortable while he said this.

Jill’s eldest sister, Jana Duggar, is in her 30s and still lives with her parents. It seems this is a choice, and Jana seems to be taking more liberties lately – including traveling. Viewers that watch Counting On wonder if Derick’s dig was directly at Jana or just unfortunate wording.

Many Counting On viewers said that Derick Dillard should avoid making digs at her family and that he only makes things worse for any future hope of having good relations.

Counting On: Staying on the Outside of the Duggar Family

Jill and Derick from Counting On said they choose to stay away from the Big House. They said they do get invites to come there sometimes but that they haven’t been over there in about two years.

Derick and Jill said the reason they don’t go over there is their need to focus on their mental health. In fact, they said going there isn’t something they feel is healthy for them. Even so, they did make it to Jill’s brother Justin Duggar’s wedding to Claire Spivey.

Fans of the show Counting On said they hope they can mend fences at some point. However, it doesn’t look like they have a timeline on when the mending will take place. In other words, it doesn’t look like they’re making a big effort at reuniting.
