Chris Collette Dishes Dirt on Alyssa Ellman – ‘Married at First Sight’: Behind-the-Scenes

Chris Collette kept his cool on Married at First Sight despite his wife Alyssa Ellman‘s lack of interest. But now, the gloves are off and Chris is dishing some dirt on his new bride Alyssa.

Chris Collette didn’t mind telling as much as MAFS would allow. He showed up on After Party to dish on what he went through. After Alyssa misbehaved on the honeymoon, people wondered when he would quit.

Chris said there was more than what viewers saw on Married at First Sight. In fact, he said he knew she was out before they went on the honeymoon. When they went to sign their marriage certificate, he overheard her talking to her lawyer.

Alyssa Ellman asked her attorney if she could get out of the marriage without paying the price for breaking her contract. If someone walks away from Married at First Sight, there is a $50K penalty. According to Chris Collette, the lawyer said she couldn’t get out of it.

Chris said he thought Alyssa wasn’t physically attracted to him. Some of the other Married at First Sight cast said the same thing. He said that Alyssa Ellman hadn’t said that to him – not even to that day.

Keshia Knight Pulliam asked if Alyssa spoke to him off-camera. Chris Collette said his wife didn’t want anything to do with him. And that she barely wanted to come on activities with him.

Fans remember when Alyssa broke down in tears. She didn’t know the producer was filming her. Alyssa pouted and then cried saying, “I’m not happy”. She didn’t want to go swimming with Chris, but her mom convinced her to go out to the beach.

Married at First Sight: Hatching a Disastrous Plan

Chris said he had no idea about Alyssa’s apartment plan. Until he heard about it at the group dinner. Even after hearing about it, he said he wouldn’t do it.

He said he wasn’t there to hang out with the other couples – he was here for love. She planned to split the apartment four weeks for her and four weeks for him.

Alyssa Ellman said she was on Married at First Sight for love, too, and she felt like she did not get what she asked for.

She kept saying neither of them got what they asked for, but Chris Collette didn’t agree. He said he got exactly what he asked for in Alyssa.

Chris said he wanted someone that was driven like Alyssa Ellman. But that she wouldn’t give their relationship even a little chance. He said as long as there was one percent of hope, he’d continue to try to make the relationship work.
