The Young and the Restless says Chelsea Newman‘s (Melissa Claire Egan) a changed woman. But she’s not. She just changed focus to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) for her latest obsession. How far will she got to get what she wants on the CBS soap opera?

A con woman raised by a grifter, Chelsea Newman knows how to get what she wants. And she’s ruthless about it. Consider how Rey Rosales came into her life. She poisoned him to frame Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

That’s how much she both loved and hated Adam on Y&R. Thankfully, Rey survived although she never intended him to die. Bizarrely, Rey puts all the blame on Adam and has pretty much forgiven Chelsea on The Young and the Restless.

Of course, Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) ongoing closeness to Adam is part of that. Ever the protector, Rey Rosales sees himself as shielding both Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and his mom from bad-guy Adam.

Now, Chelsea Newman’s always lurking around the coffee shop. Like a good grifter, she’s casing the joint and looking for a way in to his life. There are three ways she can get closer to him that are his soft spots.

Rey Rosales Targeted – Will He Fall for a Con?

The things that Chelsea’s figured out about Rey are that he likes to play hero, he wants a kid, and he needs attention. None of these needs are being met right now by Sharon.

Instead, his wife’s giving time and attention to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and their troubled son Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). Before, it was Adam and Christian Newman consuming her focus on Young and the Restless.

Also, Rey feels on the outside looking in when it comes to family. He’s never had a child of his own. And he bonded with Connor during Chelsea’s rough patch. And they continue to bond.

Chelsea Newman gives Rey Rosales lots of attention. She really listens and is always there to chat. His wife’s not around so much. But is it enough to get the hunky detective to stray? Probably not. Instead, she’ll have to take drastic measures.

How Low Will Chelsea go to Get Rey on Young and the Restless?

Rey Rosales is not a cheater and has been burned by them before. So, it’s unlikely he’d just all into bed with Chelsea Newman. But if you look at Chelsea’s recent and far part, you’ll know how she can get what she wants.

Last year, Chelsea drugged Rey to frame her ex. Now, she might do it again, only to get him into bed. Long ago on Young and the Restless, she was part of a crime ring in Myanmar that drugged people — and she did it to Billy Abbott (then Billy Miller).

Chelsea dreams of Rey.

Would Chelsea drug Rey, and take him to bed? It’s definitely something she’d consider. And if she could convince Rey he was willing by letting him think he drank too much… even better.

But the icing on the cake would be if she turned up pregnant after getting him into bed. Then, he’d be faced with a serious conundrum. Rey Rosales wants to be loved, get some attention. And he wants a child of his own.

If Chelsea Newman offers all three, would he say no? Even if he knew she set him up, his marriage is flawed, and he wouldn’t turn his back on a child. So, is a serious scheme about to erupt on Y&R on CBS?
