Bold and the Beautiful may have found a way to keep the pro-Hope team happy but at the same time offer up twist and turns in this new mother plot. B&B spoilers suggest that her slate at Forrester Creations is all but swept clean.

You can thank Steffy Forrester for that. A confrontation a while back between Hope and Steffy uncovered the truth. Hope told Steffy she sees revenge playing out at FC because Hope was the one who got Liam in the end.

Despite Steffy Forrester saying she was fine with Hope and Liam’s marriage, it looks like she couldn’t let bygones be bygones. Hope’s cutbacks at work feel like revenge that also indicate Steffy still has feelings for Liam. This is a thought Hope carries with her as the episodes play out.

Now with a minimal position at work, Hope has a lot of time on her hands. With nothing else lined up for her these days at FC, once the baby arrives, she plans to focus on being the best mom she can be.

Hope Logan – Darkness Emerges?

With all the attention in recent years over the different stages of postpartum depression, Hope’s new mom experience might fall under the disorder, which can be debilitating. It could bring attention to the condition. Many women of child-bearing age watch soap operas. So, in a roundabout way, if Bold and the Beautiful does happen to go with this plot and if handled correctly, it could actually do some public service.

According to the Mayo Clinic, postpartum depression can lead to postpartum psychosis. While this can be a serious disorder, it is also a rare condition. This is a severe level of postpartum depression and it goes way beyond what some refer to as the “baby blues.” New mothers suffering from this condition have done some awful things.

This could give the writers a canvas to paint a storyline for Hope Logan that has her going off the deep end. Her obsession with Steffy and Liam could return as a trigger for this condition. A plot with her unstable and suffering from this disorder offers a vast array of possibilities. From stalking Steffy Forrester to an attempted revenge on her rival.

Annika Noelle mentioned she would love to see Hope get to go dark, which is something new. In an interview not too long ago, Annika had no idea where the storyline for her pregnancy was headed. She also mentioned she’d like to see a darker side of her Bold and the Beautiful character emerge.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers – Annika Noelle Wants More for Hope

At the time Annika mentioned that she had no idea what the writers planned. But she imagined a more twisted Hope could emerge if she experienced a loss. But fans could have the best of both worlds with a healthy baby while she does experience a personality shift due to a postpartum disorder.

A storyline that brings a more severe form of the disorder would allow all types of dark things to seep into her life. Once she’s treated and back to normal, there should be no blame or hostility towards the new mom. It wasn’t her fault.
