Bold and the Beautiful: Ridge Forrester Lied About Grandson’s Paternity

Many years back on B&B, Thomas Forrester (then Pierson Fode) romanced Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) — Dollar Bill’s niece. They split. And when he pursued her later, she said no thanks. She was all into Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) by then.

But Caroline wanted kids, and Ridge couldn’t give them to her on Bold and the Beautiful. But she didn’t know that since Ridge lied about having a vasectomy. He broke up with her and told her to find a man that could give her a family. Then, she took a Xanax with wine.

Right after this, on the CBS soap, Thomas showed up but didn’t know she’d taken any medication. They wound up in bed together, but she didn’t remember it. Later, his dad tried to accuse him of taking advantage, but he truly didn’t know she’d taken a pill with alcohol.

Caroline turned up pregnant, and Ridge Forrester finally admitted to her that the child couldn’t be his. But he pushed her into lying and saying it was his child. He wanted to keep his son in the dark. She urged Ridge to tell the truth, but he pressed her into silence.

Thomas Forrester Had to Fight for Douglas on B&B

Based on their night together on The Bold and the Beautiful, Thomas Forrester suspected he might have fathered Caroline’s child. But he was lied to again and again by his father. His dad even sent him to Paris to get him out of the way.

B&B had a very loving and poignant water birth scene with Ridge in the tub with Caroline as she gave birth to Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri). But the lies just intensified. Ridge fibbed at every turn and was nasty to his son.

When the truth finally came out, Caroline asked Thomas to let her and his dad raise Douglas as their son. He refused and Ridge again tried to cut Thomas out of his son’s life on Bold and the Beautiful.

At every turn, Ridge Forrester lied, denied, and verbally bashed his son. In the end, Caroline left town. And Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) schemed with her to trick Thomas into thinking she was dying. So, he split from Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and moved to New York.

Thomas’ Obsession with Hope Logan is Rewritten Bold and the Beautiful History

Despite Ridge Forrester’s horrid behavior and attempt to steal his grandson and raise him as his own, Thomas made peace with his dad. When he came back, recast with actor Matthew Atkinson, his son Douglas was much older — and Caroline was dead.

Amid his grief over losing her — they were again a couple when she died — Thomas spiraled. And that’s when Bold and the Beautiful writers decided to create this fake past obsession with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).

There was no point in history before the Atkinson recast when Thomas was fixated on Hope. The worst he did was distract her while Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) made moves on Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).

Long-time B&B watchers will remember this. There was no legit romantic interest between Thomas and Hope. Not until they did a retcon (retro-rewrite of history) and invented one.

He really loved Sally, but when actor Pierson Fode left the soap, they destroyed that. Then, they invented this Hope mess when they decided to bring back the character. And it’s not a part of his legit character history. But his father’s flaws are…

Ridge Didn’t Take a Breath Between Wives on B&B

One thing you can say about Thomas Forrester is that he’s a one-woman man. He was into Caroline on Bold and the Beautiful. Then, he fell head over heels for Sally. But Dollar Bill ruined that. Since he’s been back, he fell for Hope. And a doll that looked like her.

But at least he wasn’t cheating with a doll that looked like another woman… Meanwhile, Ridge should tell Liam to hold his beer when it comes to bouncing between women. Ridge Forrester is the OG waffler on B&B.

And despite the CPS call messing up his marriage with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), what Ridge did next was super sketchy. He ran right to his ex-wife Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen). And he hopped in bed with her.

Then, wasting no time, he proposed while still married to Brooke. Doing that showed how little respect he had for either woman. Clearly, Ridge Forrester sees himself as a big prize on Bold and the Beautiful.

And he’s playing with these women’s lives. This isn’t the only time. Remember when he ran to Vegas with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) to party (and marry) while he was irritated with Brooke?

Thomas Had a Medical Excuse – Ridge Didn’t on Bold and the Beautiful

At least for Thomas Forrester’s crazy doll antics, there was a medical explanation. Remember, he needed brain surgery on the CBS soap. And yes, he’s still really into Hope, but he’s not unhinged like before. But he definitely needs to stop.

This scheme with Brooke and the fake CPS call is standard soap shenanigans. Brooke’s no angel and hid Thomas Forrester’s paternity to steal Ridge from Taylor way, way back in the day. So, she’s done something just as bad as what her stepson just did to her.

And Ridge Forrester is a grandson-stealing waffle king. But many fans seem to think Thomas Forrester is the worst of anyone in the legacy families. Let’s face it, he learned bad behavior at his father’s knee. So, who’s worse — father or son?
