Eric Forrester (John McCook) is the man who built Forrester Creations for his family. But today he feels like he’s nothing more than a figurehead at FC.
He’s the one who worked long and hard to put FC on the fashion world’s map. Ridge told his son, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) this week on Bold and the Beautiful, that all of this came from Eric Forrester’s vision. But is that what Ridge really thinks about FC today?
At first Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) didn’t put too much stock in his father feeling ignored in his own company. But now that Eric’s sent out a battle cry via Ridge’s wife, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), his son isn’t backing down.
B&B Spoilers: Sides Form for Eric & Ridge
Ridge seemed to take Brooke in as his confidant when she delivered Eric’s message to her husband. She told Ridge that his father said he better be on his game because the Forrester patriarch was coming for him.
When she presented this message on Bold and Beautiful this week, she seemed more snarky than concerned. Instead of looking upset about his father being in such a state of mind, Ridge whips up a battle plan.
It also looks like Brooke has her husband’s back as well. But not everyone will rally around Ridge as Bold and the Beautiful moves forward with this storyline.
Hints dropped on The Bold and the Beautiful this week that Eric Forrester likely ends up with the lion’s share of support. Already Forrester’s friends, family, and coworkers weighed in about Eric’s worth to this company.
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Tug of War for the Reins
Eric Forrester is suddenly the talk around the water cooler at FC. Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) seemed to get a tad irritated at Katie Logan (Heather Tom) for her views on Eric retiring. Then back at the Forrester estate Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) wouldn’t let her sister bait her.
Brooke threw out an idea of how nice it would be for Eric to spend more time with Donna. But her sister wiped that off the table by saying what she wants is what makes Eric happy. So, Brooke wasn’t getting any help from her sister. It also looks like Thomas seems to see his grandfather’s side as well on Bold and the Beautiful.

It sounded like Thomas needed to remind his father of his grandfather’s worth in the company. Then there’s RJ Forrester. Bold and the Beautiful fans want this soap to find a mode of dress that sticks for this kid. But oddly dressed or not, he seems firmly on his grandfather’s side.
So, it looks like Ridge sees himself as the man running Forrester Creations. If this is the case, then he likely believes his father is nothing more than a figurehead. So Eric is likely right on the mark when he accuses his son of trying to push him out of the way.
It looks like Eric Forrester has no intention of passing the helm of Forrester Creations over to Ridge Forrester. So it appears as if this B&B storyline centers around this son trying to take it away from his father.
Fans don’t count Eric Forrester out yet. As far as many viewers are concerned, there’s still a lot of fight left in the Forrester patriarch on the CBS soap.
