‘Big Brother’: Taylor Begs America Not to Cancel Daniel for ‘Racist’ Remarks

Big Brother 24 aired just a snippet of Daniel Durston‘s rant at Taylor Hale. Even before the episode aired, some live-feed viewers called his remarks “racist”.

But, Taylor, the victim of his expletive-fueled fit is actually defending him.

Expect more ugliness at the veto meeting and renomination ceremony.

Big Brother: Nicole Layog Lied & Triggered Daniel Durston’s Attack on Taylor Hale

For some time now, much of the house has bullied Taylor Hale. Because there’s been nothing shown on the BB24 episodes to explain why everyone’s so nasty to her, there were questions about why the beauty queen’s always on the outs.

Joseph Abdin spoke out on the most recent Big Brother episode and said he’s “never” seen any instance of Taylor being unkind to anyone in the house. So, in his mind, the verbal assault from Daniel Durston was totally unwarranted.

And it was doubly unwarranted because Nicole Layog lied, and her dishonesty triggered Daniel to nastiness. On BB24, everyone saw Nicole bawling because she’d decided to throw the Power of Veto comp. Meanwhile, the house was misled.

Many thought she received bad news about her mother (who has cancer) because she’d just come out of the Diary Room (DR). And that’s what Taylor thought too. So, she first said a prayer for Nicole (very sweet) on Big Brother.

And then she came to encourage her. In a nutshell, she reassured her Festie Bestie that if she wasn’t up to snuff in PoV because of being upset, it was okay. But Nicole then ran and told Daniel and others that Taylor said she could just drop out of the game. It’s a big lie…

Meanwhile, Daniel has been telling the house that Paloma Aguilar left the game because of Taylor. Instead, it was the stress of playing BB that wrecked her.

Daniel Durston has been hating on Taylor for weeks and trying to turn the house against her. And then he finally went off on her.

On the last Big Brother, the newly formed alliance pulled in Taylor Hale, who was grateful. But watching her on the most recent episode had fans very upset. Her bawling in the DR after Daniel’s rant was understandably upsetting to viewers.

She’d been nothing but kind to Nicole, so when Daniel came at her, she thought he was joking. Later, he seemed to realize he’d overstepped because Daniel Durston came to apologize to the victim of his verbal assault. (This hasn’t been shown on the CBS show yet)

And, Taylor was extremely kind to him, as seen on the Big Brother live feeds. It wasn’t a great apology, though. It was more of a rationalization of why he acted out. So, he explained himself but without much regret for his actions.

Taylor Hale thanked him for coming to chat and said she likes him as a person (even though viewers know he despises her for no reason we’ve seen on the show or live feeds). But she also told him that he might not come off great on the show if what he did airs.

Big Brother treated Daniel to what looked like a bad edit. But maybe it was just an accurate edit…

Taylor told Daniel that she didn’t think it was racially motivated. But, in today’s cancel culture the optics of a white man screaming at a black woman won’t air well.

He insisted he doesn’t see color or gender when defending a friend.

Taylor may have been extra kind to Daniel Durston because she may have known that his brother was murdered.

Longtime BB viewers know houseguests have no idea how their words and actions are interpreted until the game ends. And then, they go online to see what America thinks.

Taylor Hale realized Daniel Durston might face backlash and she told him she supports him.

But in past Big Brother seasons, HGs have lost their jobs. They have left the house only find they’ve been utterly canceled for racist or sexist remarks and behavior. And already, social media is on fire about the bullying in the house against Taylor.

And the backlash is already rising against Daniel now that his F-bomb-laced rant aired on the CBS reality show. What Taylor did after Daniel’s half-hearted apology proved again why the allegations about her are untrue.

After Daniel left, Taylor turned to the camera and spoke to America.

In a class act, she appealed to Big Brother watchers to “go easy” on him. She called him sweet and thoughtful. But her opinion may change after she watches the season and sees the awful things he said behind her back.

Taylor insisted people shouldn’t define Daniel by this bad moment. And she asked people not to hate him or for this to cost him any opportunities. She called it a “teachable moment” for him.

Given how awful people have been to Taylor Hale, with Daniel Durston and his pal Nicole as ringleaders, she’s been impressively tolerant of the house hate.

On the plus side (for Taylor), you’ll be happy to see tonight that Taylor and The Leftovers rock the house when HoH Turner puts Ameerah and Terrance on the block and they evict Girls Girls ringleader Ameerah. It should be an explosive episode tonight.
