Big Brother 25: Drama Unfolds in First Power of Veto Competition
Big Brother 25 kicked off with a bang, and the first Power of Veto (POV) competition took center stage on the live feeds. Hisam Goueli emerged as the victor, adding an exciting twist to the game.
Big Brother 25: Drama Unfolds in First Power of Veto Competition
Before the Head of Household (HOH) competition even took place, four nominees were chosen: Jared Fields, Cory Wurtenberger, Felicia Cannon, and Kirsten Elwin. Reilly Smedley, the first HOH, had the critical task of un-nominating two of those contestants. Ultimately, Jared and Cory were granted safety, while Felicia and Kirsten remained on the chopping block. The primary target for eviction was Kirsten, with Felicia serving as a strategic pawn.
As the live feeds unveiled the outcome of the Power of Veto competition, it was revealed that BB player Hisam Goueli had secured the coveted POV win.

Joining him in the competition were Reilly (HOH), Kirsten (nominee), Felicia (nominee), Blue Kim, Bowie Jane, and Cirie Fields, who served as the competition’s host. Reilly hopes that Hisam will align with her plan to evict Kirsten and maintain the original nominations.
BB25: Reilly Smedley Targets Kirsten Elwin
Reilly’s decision to target Kirsten for eviction stemmed from her belief that Kirsten had been playing the BB25 game too aggressively during the first week.

Additionally, Kirsten had started a rumor suggesting that Reilly and Matt were developing a showmance, which Reilly Smedley found off-putting. By keeping Felicia on the chopping block as a likable player while targeting Kirsten, Reilly believed that her move would be met with minimal resistance. So far, Kirsten has failed to secure any alliances.
While it may be unfortunate for Kirsten to exit Big Brother 25 so early, it is worth noting that Reilly did not initially nominate her for eviction. Kirsten’s nomination came about due to her loss in the Humili-verse competition on premiere night. By evicting one of the original four nominees, Reilly and the other houseguests seek to minimize their involvement in the eviction process. Furthermore, Kirsten’s lack of alliance partnerships suggests that there is little chance of retaliation.
More To Come This Week on CBS’s Big Brother
As the week unfolds, fans eagerly anticipate whether Big Brother 25’s Scramble-verse will introduce any further surprises. The initial twist of nominations preceding the HOH competition already caught everyone off guard. Considering the show’s penchant for unexpected twists, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to anticipate additional surprises during the veto meeting or eviction night. While it seems likely that Kirsten will ultimately depart, in Big Brother, one should always expect the unexpected.
