‘Alaskan Bush People’: Bear Brown Furious – Defends Dead Father

Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown came out swinging today accusing a website of being “scum” and said they made fun of his dead dad, Billy Brown. Even Bear’s facial expression in this new photo reveals his anger at a blogger he accused of “evil”.

Alaskan Bush People: Bear Brown Furious at Recapper

By now, Bear Brown should be accustomed to dealing with people online hassling him and his family. It’s standard for reality stars to be poked, prodded, and mocked. The Alaskan Bush People star got plenty of sympathy saying that the blogger was “mocking a sick man”. Some fans took his side 100% but others said that it sadly it comes along with the territory of being on a reality television show.

Alaskan Bush People: Bear Brown

The website in question, RailingKill, has recapped Alaskan Bush People for years. And the writer used screen grabs from the show with captions aimed at mocking the Brown family antics. No one was spared and this included Bear Brown, Billy Brown, and the rest of the family. The recaps seem to have begun back in Season 9.

It’s not clear if Bear just found the site after his dad’s passing or if he’s known about it for a while. The recapper didn’t appear to single out Billy, after a quick glance at the site. They took all the Alaskan Bush People to task making fun of their antics. Clearly, Bear believes the site had ill intentions. And no doubt, losing his father is a wound reopened with episodes chronicling Billy Brown’s passing.

Site Targeted Offered Tribute to Billy at Time of Death

Bear Brown encouraged his followers to target this website for take down. It’s doubtful that had time to take effect, particularly since he didn’t even post the URL of the site in question. However, the site owner seems to have taken it down themselves. We got a look at their recaps and material before they pulled the site down.

It’s interesting to note, that while the recapper mocked the Browns and Alaskan Bush People, they posted a tribute to Billy back when he passed away earlier this year. Although the site’s inactive now, we were able to capture this article and show it below. We’ve underscored some passages of interest. The writer called Billy Brown “a good guy” while explaining why he mocked the show.

It’s not clear if Bear saw this or just a few of the recaps that attempted humor. As of now, the site owner appears to have responded to Bear’s anger by taking down the site that focused on Alaskan Bush People recaps.

Alaskan Bush People: Site Taken Down – Bear Gets Sympathy from Followers

Bear Brown, son from the Alaskan Bush People, accused the website of mocking the death of the family’s beloved dog Mr. Cupcake, among other objectionable posts. What’s also of note is back in February, when the site posted the tribute to patriarch Billy, one of its readers criticized them.

You can see that below.

The critic asked if the recapper had been pranking them by mocking the show, then posting a tribute. The Alaskan Bush People recapper said “dignity is called for” when someone dies. And the recapper said they’d seen people tearing Billy Brown “to shreds” and that was “not my style”.

What comes out of reading Bear Brown’s accusations and the surviving posts from this site is that the recapper thought they were just “having a bit of fun”. Clearly, Bear sees it as something far worse and a personal insult aimed at his dead father and the family. The website’s down so hopefully, that gives the Brown family some comfort.

No doubt, it’s difficult for Bear Brown and his siblings to relive the tragedy of Billy’s death. Billy Brown passed on February 7, 2021. Not only are Bear and his siblings and mother likely still processing their grief, but seeing it again on their Discovery channel series throughout Season 13 must be hard. And this will be their first holiday season without their patriarch.
