Johnny Chao was shocked that Ella Johnson cheated on him on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. She told him she needed physical attention, and she wasn’t getting that from him. So, she had a good male friend come over, and one thing led to another, and they hooked up.

Johnny recently spoke about the matter. He believes that he doesn’t have the right to blame her for her actions. She was 28 when they first started talking, and now that she’s almost 30, he says he wasted “her best age.”

The TLC celeb feels guilty about it. He also thinks it was unfair to keep her waiting for two years. He takes “90 percent responsibility for what happened.”

However, Johnny Chao also reveals that he agreed to have an open relationship. The 90 Day Fiance reality star had even told Ella Johnson that if there is someone better out there for her, he will let her go.

He knew that it wasn’t right for him to keep her waiting hopelessly without a clear timeline. He says it would be a “cruel thing” for him to do to her.

Johnny Cancels Trips to Meet Ella

Johnny Chao does want to meet Ella Johnson. But unfortunately, the global pandemic has been making that task difficult. The TLC duo met online right before countries started to shut down their borders. So, they have been facing travel bans ever since.

According to Johnny, Ella can’t fly to China due to a strict travel ban. However, she did try to meet him in Taiwan and Dubai. But, the 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days cast member says he was a “coward” and canceled both trips. He knew that it would be difficult to return home.

However, Johnny knows that he left Ella heartbroken. He feels that she is at a “valuable age.” So, it sounds like he understands why she cheated on him.

90 Day Fiance Couple Still Haven’t Met

Johnny Chao still hasn’t met Ella Johnson in person. He explains that China still has restrictions for foreigners visiting the country. It is also hard for citizens to come back home.

So, he feels that they have no other choice but for him to go to America. He also still has his visitor visa.

However, Johnny feels they would have met already if it wasn’t for the pandemic. The 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days castmate is thankful that Ella has been very patient with him.

He is grateful to have her in his life. He says that most Chinese women won’t accept him because he is a single dad.

Yet, it seems like Johnny may plan to meet Ella this summer. He has been looking at flights. But, it may cost him a pretty penny. And, he doesn’t have too many flight options. Will he and Ella ever meet — or is it time to move on?
