Jasmine Pineda introduced Gino Palazzolo to his mother, Cecilia, and sister, Liz, on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. She was nervous for her family to meet him. However, she was most afraid that her mother would get upset if he wouldn’t take his hat off at the table.

Her mother, Cecilia, didn’t waste any time getting to know Gino. She asked him why he doesn’t have any kids at his age. He told her that “it just didn’t happen” for him.
Cecilia also wanted to know his thoughts on the age gap between him and her daughter. He doesn’t see a problem with it. However, Cecilia is only a couple of years older than the TLC celeb.
When it was time to eat, Jasmine Pineda explained to her mother on 90 Day Fiance that Gino Palazzolo doesn’t feel comfortable taking off his hat while they pray.
Cecilia didn’t seem too pleased with him. But, she said that it didn’t matter and that he could wear his hat while at the table.
TLC Fans Bash Gino’s Shoes
Gino Palazzolo’s hat wasn’t the only fashion item people were talking about. Some people bashed the sandals he was wearing. One person says he “commits crimes against fashion.”
Another person thinks they looked like something from their “mom’s closest in 1988.” According to a fan, they would “be out the door” if their man wore them. They believe that he “needs to know how to dress to impress.”
However, not every 90 Day Fiance fan feels that Gino committed a fashion crime. One person thinks that the sandals look “very comfortable.”
Another person believes that his sandals are “in style and fashionable.” But it seems like there is a reason why he was wearing them. So, Jasmine Pineda stuck up for his fashion choice and explained what he was wearing.
Jasmine Sticks up for 90 Day Fiance Celeb
Jasmine Pineda spoke about the sandals Gino Palazzolo wore on Before the 90 Days. She said that they were a gift from her mother, Cecilia.
She explained that they are traditional sandals from her hometown. According to Jasmine, they are Panama’s national shoe, “cutarras.” The shoes are even handmade by local artisans.
One 90 Day Fiance fan also stuck up for Gino. They said that the gift is something that has a “rich history.” And that it represents “the people of Panama.”
The fan also said that it has nothing to do with “fashion, but with respect.” However, it wasn’t the only traditional piece Cecilia gave him. Surprisingly, Jasmine’s mom gave Gino three gifts.
Another one was a traditional “chacara bag.” These bags are handmade by the Ngobe Bugle people in the Chiriqui area in Panama. Jasmine explained that her mother gave Gino these gifts “as a sweet memory” of their culture. Cecilia also wanted to make him feel very welcomed and a part of the family.
