’90 Day Fiance’: David Says Lana Dumped Him After Engagement – Are They Still Together?

90 Day Fiance spoilers promise we’ll see David Murphey engaged to Lana in Ukraine this season, but she already dumped him. By the end of the season of Before the 90 Days, Lana meets David, and he puts a ring on it. But things spiraled out after the in-person meet up. See what comes soon on the TLC show.

90 Day Fiance’s Lana is NOT a Catfish – David Murphey Proposes

Although the edited scenes from Before the 90 Days set it up to look like a catfish, Lana is the real deal. And before the regular season episodes end, David Murphey finally meets his woman and promptly proposes, as SD was first to report. However, there more to this story.

In leaked footage from the 90 Day Fiance Tell All, David Murphey explains how the matchmaking website works — and it makes sense. It turns out Lana doesn’t speak English, so the website’s a conduit. Plus, David broke down how the sites work and why he used it.

90 Day Fiance star David explained that local agencies in Russia scout single women, run background checks on them, and then provide their info to American matchmaking websites. So, Davis uses the site because he knows the women are thoroughly vetted and are not catfish ladies.

Before the 90 Days Star Says Lana’s Not Paid to Talk to Him

Over and over in the leaked 90 Day Fiance footage, host Shaun Robinson asked David Murphey the same question trying to get his answer to change. It never did. Then, Big Ed Brown lambasted David and shouted at him, “you’re not engaged” because Lana’s not in this for love.

David calmly dealt with Shaun, Ed, and also doubts from Tom Brooks, who joined the 90 Day Fiance pile-on attacking him. In fact, David gave the same answers and tried to get them all to see. These websites are for wealthy American men who then travel to Ukraine to meet women.

The women make clear what they’re looking for – and many want an American husband. So, the 90 Day Fiance path is a common outcome. David Murphey also said the site doesn’t pay Lana to be on there. However, the agencies provide laptops for the girls to talk to potential husbands.

Lana Met David But it Doesn’t Work Out on Before the 90 Days

In the 90 Day Fiance soon-to-be-aired scenes, Lana finally meets online love David. Then, he drops to one knee and proposes. He gives her a cubic zirconia ring, explaining she’ll get to pick out a real diamond later. Lana takes the ring, and then a translator talks her through some questions.

Future 90 Day Fiance Lana says she likes everything about David Murphey, except for his leather trenchcoat. Lana says she likes that David wants to travel a lot and calls him her “soulmate – sort of.” Later, in a confessional scene, producers asked how much money he’s sent, and she declined to answer.

As for David Murphey, he said he gave her gifts for birthdays and special occasions but didn’t pay her way. The 90 Day Fiance cast member also said that any man dating a woman should be giving her gifts like this. However, Shauna and other cast hassled him repeatedly on how he found his fiance.

Lana Still on Matchmaking Site – Dumped David Says He Doesn’t Blame Her

Other tidbits from the 90 Day Fiance leaks reveal that David Murphey said Lana accepted the ring. But, they broke up afterward. He said he doesn’t know if they’re still together, and he’s not spoken to her for six days, as of the taping of the digital segments.

Also, David says Lana can’t talk to him offline. If she does, the agency will kick her off the website – and that’s a big deal. Essentially, David Murphey said the girls sign up with agencies. Then, they hope for a 90 Day Fiance K-1 opportunity. So, they talk to many men. And he said he doesn’t blame her since he spoke to many women trying to find his perfect match.

Reportedly, it takes a lot of effort to get on an agency list to get on a matchmaking site. And, if you don’t abide by the rules, or if you leave, you can’t get back onto them. So, David says he understands why his 90 Day Fiance partner stays on the site, even now.

David Murphey told host Shaun that most Ukrainian women stay on the agency sites until they immigrate. So, if their US suitor drops them, they retain the chance to remain on the site and keep looking. However, TLC likely cuts most of this out of the Tell All that airs – like the bombshell that Lisa called her minority husband the N-word…
